MEEEEEE! If it were up to me it’d be 80 people at a small winery or on the beach somewhere. Now it’s this huge hotel shindig with 260 people. FI’s a social butterfly though and since he’s the oldest & the 1st to marry and I’m the only girl we had parental pressure too.

I think that would be awesome if its what you both want!  Part of me thinks something small or destination would be PERFECT, but my mom has been telling me for years that she will kill me if I get married far away, and that if I choose vegas it will be an extra stab through the heart lol.  As you can tell, she is not a vegas fan!  TONS of people are though, so I hope it works out well for you 🙂

Can you do both? I had this idea in my head to do something small & intimate beforehand and then do the big deal & put on a show.

Medina, does he want the big wedding enough to plan most of it?  Most guys have no idea how much work weddings are… and most guys aren’t willing to do the work, if he is one of the awesome and rare ones who will it won’t be so hard on you in any case!

Maybe compromise?  If he doesn’t want to elope to Vegas, maybe have the wedding at the location you were originally planning, with a smaller, more intimate guest list.

Compromise!  We are doing a 35-40 person small thing in Vegas, then having a big dinner reception at home for about 150 people approx. 2 months after.  I had it easy though, it was my FI’s idea. Good luck with yours!

Weve almost done it a hundred time but ultimately we are doing it big.  Sometimes i wish we would have hopped a plane as well.

Good luck!
