I am not a huge fan of how page 7-8  and 13-14 look. It looks like it is cutting you guys in half.

The rest I really like tho

i don’t know if you’ve bought any adorama books before, but you guys being in the crease will absolutely not be a problem.  i would leave it.  these books lay completely flat and it doesn’t mess up the photo in the middle at all.  it’s actually really cool.

as far as signing, you nailed it– either change it to white or go with silver pens.  either way should work fine….just depends what you want it to look like.

Your book looks awesome!! What kind of paper does the book have and what type of pen were you thinking of using? It seems like Adorama is the most recommended, so I’ll probably end up using them for my guest book as well!

Also, I really love how the black background looks, but I’m sure white would also look good!

I really want to do this for our guest book.  I think I remember someone saying they had a hard time finding silver pens that would write on those pages.  I would look for some now before ordering your book because if you can’t find any I would change the background to white.

It looks fabulous though!  So do guests just write on the black portions of the page or do you expect them to write on the pictures too?  I’m genuinely curious about that.

How many guests will you be having?  There doesnt seem to be a lot of black(white) space for guest to sign.  There are maybe 8 pages where the picture doesnt take up the majority of the page.  And even in those 8, the picture is pretty large.  I just made a 8×11 book, and I thought I left a LOT of space, but when I got it and flipped through it, it doesnt feel like a lot of space to write on as I thought it’d be.

I’m super partial to the black background, I think it looks great, and I use it for all my books, but the Adorama pages are shiny, like a print you would get from a photog (a little bit textured, but still shiny) so pens might be a problem.  Something along the lines of a sharpie would prob. work well, but I don’t think you’ll get enough pigment to write on black.  Pens that are opaque enough to write will probably take a while to dry.  You might be better off switching to white (and get dark permament pens).

I think you may need more space honestly.  You’re pictures are gorgeous, and if I was one of your guests I would not want to write on any of your pictures.
