I’m new here, and would love to please join you kind ladies on the TTC boards?
Our wedding was in July 2011, and we started NTNT since Jan 2012, and actively TTC since March 2012. I’m from England.
I have some ongoing problems with my cycle, which I’m not exactly sure what are, but I have very long cycles/missing periods. I also am scared I might not be ovulating as I recently had a postive digital OPT (almost a month ago) but no period following it. I’m 29 years old.
I could just really use some support and some friendly ladies to talk to during the TTC proess as I’m feeling disheartened and confused and don’t want to tell many people around me that we are trying.
I do plan to try temping again – I started at one point but found it overwhelming and kept waking up at different times. I have asked my doctor about it and he just said come back after a year, and that just because I don’t have my period it doesn’t mean I’m not ovulating.
Thank you and nice to join you 🙂

If you had a positive OPK but no period, is it possible you’re pregnant?
I’m TTC, too, since January, also without success so far. I had several symptoms last cycle, was trying not to get my hopes up, but not only did I get a BFN, I got my period EARLY. I’ll admit, tears were shed. I’m a little worried too, because shortly before we started trying, I started spotting before periods, which I’ve read isn’t a good sign. Plus, my luteal phase is short. I’ve given up on temping because my sleep schedule isn’t regular enough for it to be effective for me. I do still use the TCOYF website for keeping track of my cycle, though. Definitely know what you mean about needing/wanting support, because it’s something so intensely personal, it’s easier to talk about annoymously to other annoymous folks than it is to talk about with friends and family!
Good luck to you on your TTC journey! And to me, too, I suppose, and all the other Bees who are trying!

I cant wait to be part of these boards. We arent going to start TTC till our company is more stable however I have seen a naturopath and she has really helped me in becoming healthier so it will be possible to concieve. According to my doctors last year I couldt have conceived due to food intolerance issues. I vote dont wait a year to see a doctor but go seek other forms of help before then.

@Mrsluckywife: Welcome! There are lots of different women with lots of different experiences, successes, struggles and joys on the boards. I can totally understand the feeling of confusion- it seems like our bodies don’t always do what we want/need and often give us mixed signals!:) Looking forward to getting to know you on the boards!;)

@Mrsluckywife: welcome! Join one of the “POAS” clubs if you want somewhere to start – it stands for “Pee on a stick”, so people join it when they are gearing up to test – often weeks in advance!! There is currently both a June POAS (part 3!!) thread and a July one, depending on when you think you want to test. They are great support 🙂
You might also like to join the “Charters” thread if you want to get temping again…

Good luck and welcome, OP!

Just jump in wherever. I have stupidly long cycles as well (seeing a specialist about it next week, so I’ll definitely be sharing the details over on the 6+ board, so check in there or PM me if you want details!). Like others have said, the POAS board might be a good place to start. I’m definitely looking forwarded to being able to post there soon. July POAS here I come, hopefully.

Thank you so much for welcoming me!
I wish you all the best of luck and sticky baby dust too and look forward to getting to know you all too. It’s great to have a support network.
I will definitely join one of the POAS clubs – just as soon as I can work out which month I’ll be in the two week wait next.
@Miss Apricot: Sadly I think it’s not likely I am pregnant as I’ve tested lots over the last two weeks. I completely understand your tears – it’s so hard when you convince yourself you might be pregnant only to see negative tests isn’t it.
