Perhaps something neutral, since merlot and teal are both pretty strong!

I would suggest mixing the bouquet with something other than red therefore you would be able to put the girls in a merlot colored dress. Now, as far as finding a teal colored dress that is not as difficult as you think just go visit your local wedding stores for swatches as well as check out lightinthebox.com. Hope that helps

I’m personally not a big fan of black bridesmaid dresses. What about a really light shade of teal?

I think black, teal, and merlot would be really intense. What about some kind of neutral earth-tone kind of color (mauve, nude, tan, light brown) instead of black. Then your girls can wear that color.

I actually love the idea of teal bridesmaids dresses… but maybe that’s because I had a wedding on the beach so ocean blue shades were my thing!  If you’re open to it, I think it could look really classy, like a dress below with either ivory or soft yellow bridesmaid bouquet, which would contrast really nice with your deep red bouquet and merlot accents.

If you’re not feeling the teal dress, I agree with the other girls in going with a “softer” color since the teal and merlot are very strong colors.  Maybe look at pink/blush, pale yellow or champagne dresses for your girls.

Good luck and let us know what you decide!!

I like the idea of teal dresses if you give them lighter colored flowers. But I also like the idea of a light beige dress with those big bold flowers!

I like the idea of a neutral color too.  We are using really strong colors in all our decor, so I decided to put my girls in charcoal.  They are all wearing color rich shoes, jewelry, and dark purple bouquets.

I like what highwire said about an earth toned neutral color. I think tan would look very nice.
