@bepurple04: I think it looks lovely on you. What is it about the dress that you don’t like? It looks like it needs a good pressing and some minor alterations.

I would go to David’s Bridal and get something off the rack. They normally have a good selection of lower priced dresses.
What’s your budget? What style of dress are you looking for?

Honestly I think the dress you have is very pretty, it just looks like it needs some alterations to fit you properly.

I think the dress is pretty. I think once it’s steamed and altered you will feel much better about how it looks.

I agree with others, I think that dress is really pretty and with some minor alterations and having it pressed it will look beautiful. But also buying off the rack at a local bridal shop might be your only option with such little time left.

Another one for getting this dress altered and steamed. Once it’s fitted and the wrinkles are gone, it’s going to look so much better.

Thanks everyone for your comments. They made few mistakes like not alignining the satin bit in front with the one at the back.
Do you think If i got a crinoline it would look better perharps?
Also which bits do you think need altering? The top definitely needs to be altered.

@IzzyBear: Thanks for the links but i’m in UK. Been in store and all the dresses I have seen are really expensive.

Have you tried any department stores? You can often find nice evening gowns in white or ivory for a few hundred bucks.

@bepurple04: the photo isn’t a very good angle to tell either – just go to a seamstress and get their professional judgement.
That or go with PP suggestions and go to get an off the rack dress from David’s Bridal.

It looks like the top and the bit just below your hips could be taken in. I think a crinoline would make it look nice as well. It would give it some more fullness at the bottom. I would take it to a seamstress like today and see what they say.

That dress is beautiful & it shows off your curves!
I’d add crinoline to the bottom, & I’m sure you could have it altered so that the alignment is better, and it would cost WAY less than a new dress. Just my opinion.
