Have you thought about having a jeweler make you a setting to fit it?

I agree with Estep you should talk to a jewler about getting on custom made for your stone so that way it can be everything you imagined!

(and btw my promise ring was a heart shaped pink sapphire!) They are so pretty!

Have you tried contacting any of the sellers on Etsy? A lot of them will do custom work with sapphires.

There is a 6.4 x 6 pink sapphire on this site for sale.  It’s less than $500.  Not sure if that is too high.

ETA: @MissSam2b:  I’m sorry, I wasn’t paying 100% attention.  I tend to do that first thing in the morning, before I’ve had enough coffee and while I’m trying to get the kids ready! lol

You definitely try to contact Etsy sellers and ask if they do work with the shape.  You can also contact other online jewelers as they might be able to find you a setting.  I know moissaniteco.com has a few heart shaped settings.  You don’t have to get one with moissanite it, obviously.  You just sent them the sapphire and have it set.  The prices listed for their settings wouldn’t be the price you pay, because those prices include a stone from them. The settings would be a bit cheaper and then they’d charge you a small fee to set the stone.  You would have to contact their sales desk for a quote.

Check out this site:

http://www.stuller.com/browse/wedding-and-engagement/

They have the ring part sold separately from the settings.  Settings are in the “findings” category at the top.  The problem is that you have to be a registered jeweler to buy from them or even see thier prices.  I have a jeweler account with them through my parent’s business, so message me if you have any questions.   You may be able to find a jeweler who works with them where you are.  Their prices are typically 1/3 what is charged in a jewelry store, then the seller will mark it up to whatever profit level they want to make.

What about a Moissanite setting from Moissanite & Co? Says they do all types of settings for a heart stone maybe talk to them about it, I’m sure they would work with you to get exactly what you want and they’re not overly expensive.. Just a suggestion tho, not sure how you feel about Moissanite or exactly what your looking for.. They even have pink heart Moissanite if your interested! ๐Ÿ™‚ http://www.moissaniteco.com/advanced_search_result.html?y=13&x=31&tags_Center+Stone_22=on

I desperately wanted a heart-shaped pink sapphire as well, but LOVED the round cut pink sapphire that I ended up with…I found mine at Shane Co. and you could try them but the lady I spoke with informed me that all their heart-cut sapphires are less than half a carat! I wanted my 1.17 carat sapphire though, so I was just fine with the round-cut! ๐Ÿ™‚
