Hi everyone! I’ve just joined wedding bee so I’m very new to this but I’m in desperate need of help! I would love lots of different opinions and feedback.
For as long as I can remember I’ve had my heart set on an oval halo engagement ring (obviously they’re stunning). But I’ve just recently come across a three stone ring that I think is extremely unique and beautiful. I’m truly having such a hard time deciding between the two. I feel like the oval halo is such a popular style at the moment and I’m the type of person that doesn’t necessarily want what everyone else has (not to offend anyone, the halo rings are clearly spectacular.) Please vote in the poll and any comments are greatly appreciated! Thanks everyone! 🙂
By The Way – The oval ring shown in the photos has a 2.01 center diamond, mine would be made with a 1.5 carat. So it will be slightly smaller (please keep that in mind.)
Ring 1 – Oval Halo

Ring 2 – Three Stone

I never wanted to pick my Engagement Ring I wanted him to. So if you cannnot decied you have 3 stunning rings maybe let him pick out of the 3 rings you have chosen.
Just a thought I know heaps of people want to pick there rings and thats cool I think it is one thing he gets to pick and that it come from the heart.
By the way they are all stunning I don’t know if I could pick out of 3. show us what one you picked in the end would love to see it 🙂

Ovals are trendy right now, halos have been trendy for a while…but for some reason I don’t love them in the same ring.
The second ring is so unique and gorgeous.

I like the 1st much more. I love all the tiny stones around the band and basket, as well as the halo. It’s amazingly sparkly and eye catching. I’ve never been a fan of square / rectangular stones. They seem too angular, sharp, and unfriendly (just my weird way of viewing them).
Have you tried on both styles at a jewelry store? You might try one and find it doesn’t suit your hand. That might help make up your mind.

futuremrspral : If you’ve always had your heart set on an oval halo, there’s a good chance you’ll think “what if” if you got a different style and you might end up with ring regret. Have you tried either of them on? I loved both ovals and halos, but both styles looked awful on me.

I can see why you are having a hard time choosing! They’re both so beautiful and elegant!
I personally would suggest going with a halo. The reason I say that is because, like you, I have always wanted a halo – ever since I was a child. Then when it came time to choose a ring I backed out of a halo at the last minute because I thought they were too “trendy”. My first ring was beautiful, but I just didn’t love it. For our one year wedding anniversary we changed the setting to a halo.

They are both beautiful. I love the halo much more. If I were you, I’d tell my fiance that you love both rings equally and let him pick the one he wants to see on your finger.

futuremrspral : voted three stones for the simple reason I can’t stand halos. The three stone one is gorgeous

Would it be an option to let your bf pick?
I was torn between quite a few different oval sapphire in yellow and white gold, a morganite in rose gold and an aquamarine in white gold and he did an awesome job. Plus, it was a nice surprise!

I like the three stone. Plus you can wear your wedding band flush against it. That practical angle really appeals to me.

I’ve never thought of ovals as being trendy, but I don’t think you can go wrong here. I prefer the three stone because I don’t like halos, but I agree with PP who said you might have oval regret if you don’t pick it. I would let him decide.
Either way, ditch the half eternity bands on whatever you pick – that’s the part that screams 2010s to my eyes. The three stone would be gorgeous with a simpler setting.

Like above poster, I also prefer the three stone over the halo ring. It’s very unique and gorgeous on your finger! If you love both equally, let your fiance pick it so it will be a surprise when he proposes.

The first is a timeless stunner! The three stone is for my taste usually a bit too “shank-y”; eg from far away it can look like a diamond studded shank. The oval has the stage!

futuremrspral : yay laurenb!! Good choice 😊 I myself have a laurenb ring. Ring #2 is a stunner. Have you tried them on? I honestly always wanted a halo, but HATED it on my finger. It was so overwhelming. I also feel like I’ve seen so many oval halos these days…they’re not memorable. But the second one, I’ve never seen anything like that. It’s beautiful #2 for sure!
