From the top mine looks pretty normal, but the sides are not something that I’ve seen on anyone else’s ring ๐Ÿ™‚

@Luayne:  Beautiful ring!  What is the center stone? Looks like paraiba.

I feel that my ring is sort of unique in that I’ve never seen a halo like it.

I’m totally a traditional solitaire kind of gal, but i LOVE and adore how many unique settings are out there. These are all amazing!

My swirl is a little less noticeable but it’s in there!

@doberman:  It’s a natural alexandrite. Here it is in different lighting. I’m not sure if you know anything about the gem but it changes colour in different lighting…from blue/green in sunlight/fluorescent to purple/red in candlelight/incandescent. It’s like a totally different stone every time And combinations of lighting can make it look sapphire…olive green…dark grey…I love it!

@doberman:  Thank you! I can’t wait to see what it looks like with the wedding band in it.

@star_dust:  thank you so much!! Fiance and I are so excited because now it can be the beginning of our own family heirloom. ๐Ÿ™‚  and no, I don’t mind at all – the larger stone is 1.01 and the smaller one is .94, & the two tiny side diamonds within the filigree are .03 each.

also, it’s so silly, but one of my favorite things was that it had the palladium AND gold on it. it’s so strong that it has no visible scratches AND it matches with all my jewelry, whether gold or silver haha.

@FauxPas2012:  that would be so great to do with inherited diamonds! if she googles moi et toi rings, similar ideas should come up too – I haven’t found a ton, but I have come across a few beauties (though none I love as much as mine)   ๐Ÿ˜‰

@Luayne:  Well you had best post a picture of it when you get the wedding band!~ I’d love to see that beautiful color-changer again.
