Hi Bee’s –
I haven’t been to very many weddings in my adult life (i’m 23) I went to a ton of weddings as a child but my Fiance and I are the first of our friends to get engaged. I am always on pintrest, magazine, blogs, etc. falling in love with these beautiful pictures but I have no idea if any of these are actually practical.
For example, when I showed my Day of coordinator this, she said that though it looks beautiful where we live it will probably be blowing all over the place in the wind 🙁

No pictures since I’m not on my home computer at the moment, but here are a few that immediately spring to mind…
-Candles on the ground, whether decor or lining the aisle or whatever. The glow looks gorgeous, but what if your dress (or one of your guests) ends up on fire??
-Most of the things people throw for exits. Gorgeous picture…huge mess after picking glitter out of your hair, or trying to get confetti (that realistically always ends up having damp/wet pieces) off your white dress before it discolors it, etc.

There would be sand everywhere and I do not have enough back support to sit on those pillows.

Outdoor weddings with the lights everywhere and strung up over the dance floor. Beautiful… But what’s the rain/wind/extreme heat backup plan? I couldn’t plan one of those weddings without being extremely paranoid about the weather, and massively disappointed if it sucked.

@Pinkmoon: That is very true! My SIL had one of those weddings. It did indeed rain, and everyone ended up huddled under the tent for dinner (which did not cover the dance floor, all those lights, or the band’s equipment – yikes!)
And one more with a picture now that I’m home…
Trees…inside. Yeah, that’s realistic.
