@brideanjeza:  Thank you.. I wanted white/ ivory flowers so my florist used mostly hydrangeas,     A few roses and carnations… You will be fine.. Good luck ๐Ÿ™‚

@lovelyduckie:  I’m planning on using log slices in my centerpieces as well! I’m going to try to stay away from jars though, just because my best friend used them in her wedding recently. I want gold mecury glass votives for candles, and maybe milk glass/hobnail vases.

@romantical:  I LOVE the lantern centerpiece you have!! I am assuming you had a florist assemble them? DO you mind my asking how much you paid for it? I was going to do my own flowers, but I couldn’t put together a wreath like that LOL.

I’m also considering a lantern with two small vases of flowers on either side, which I could do myself, but looked at ordering the vases online, and the lanterns, and just for those, not including flowers, it would be like $400.

@HisNightOwl2014:  Did you get those flowers from the dollar tree as well?? I am thinking of doing something similar.  Yours look gorgeous!

I DIYed mine. Oversized painted paper flowers and strung/beaded paper cranes in a faux mercury glass painted cylinder vase.

@Baroness_Meg:  Thanks, love!  Believe it or not, I bought all the lanterns (I had 18 large and 18 small lanterns.. small ones were used to line the aisle) from Craig’s list!  A bride was selling all 36 of her lanterns for $250 cash, and I just had to take the bait. ๐Ÿ™‚

My florist did create the wreaths of flowers.. She asked for the lantern measurements and custom made the wreaths to fit.  She charged $150 for each tall centerpiece and $90 for each shorter (lantern) one.  Even though the lanterns are my own, some of the guests ended up taking some home hhahaha.

Have you considered looking into dollar stores for the vases?  YOu find some pretty amazing stuff.  That or IKEA haha

@mkendrick: Did you make your centrepieces yourself? I love them and would love to hear how you made them/where you got them from!

@romantical:  I absolutely love your tall centerpiece! I have a similar stand for the flowers I found at a resale shop and I was wondering if you could tell me how you have that many flowers on a small wire base like that? I would greatly appreciate it!!!

@romantical:  I’ve checked out the Dollarama near my place, they don’t really have many cube vases right now :(. I’m going to keep an eye out for them tho! ๐Ÿ™‚

That’s a great deal on the lanterns!! I know Ikea has some reasonable ones, but none in white, only silver or black. I found beautiful ones at Pier 1, but they are $20 each… I may have to cave if I can’t find anything else!
