Hey Fitness Bees!
In February I cut out all wheat, corn, and white potato as well as all added sugar from my diet. A weeks later I started working out 2-3 times per week. About six weeks ago I started working out about 6 days per week and I am completely addicted!
I’ve been following zuzkalight.com because I love the style of her (free!) workouts – generally they take me less than 30 minutes to do, but I’m ready to drop at the end of them, and I’ve really seen results.
I haven’t lost any weight whatsoever – but I HAVE lost one pants size and finally starting to like what I see in the mirror. My goal is to feel great trotting out in a bathing suit this summer!
So please post your favorite interval-type workout, whether HIIT, Tabata, or whatever you do in 30 minutes that makes you push to your max!

Blogilates has some great videos. I’m currently loving Jillian Michaels’ Yoga Meltdown.

So an update for me: it’s currently a tie between ZWOW #18 and ZWOW #15 on zuzkalight.com for my favorite workout.

@Minnow: oh im a fan of hiit core #1. =P do u have any results yet?

@carbear02: haven’t tried hiitcore yet, but Lisa who does those videos was on body rock.tv and I tried a few of those exercises. Guess I’m just more of a Zuzanna than a Lisa fan (Zuzanna hosted body rock before Lisa did.) It’s largely the same type of exercise but I’ve found the ZWOWs to be a little better for me – I just seem to have the same equipment she does and I like her energy a lot.
Anyway I’ve seen some amazing results – I know abs are made in the kitchen so between eating clean and doing those workouts I can see my abs for the first time in…ever.
But I do like switching things up so I will try some different HIIT workouts!

@Minnow: I’m currently doing Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30 – it’s frigging hard but i’m only one week in and have already seen results around my tummy and thighs compared to before i started. I’ve heard good things about all of Jillians DVDs. Ripped in 30 is about 30 mins long including warm up and cool down.
I also take a bootcamp class twice a week and run 3 times a week and skip for 20 mins a day 6 days a week (surprisingly hard work, it was so eas when i was a kid!). I know what you mean about being addicted! A year ago i had no interest in exercising whatsoever, i’d always been small and naturally toned and then all of a sudden my body started changing and i didn’t like what i saw in the mirror anymore so started working out and i feel great, i sleep so much better and jsut feel better about life in general. I don’t have more energy which a lot of people say you get from more exercise but, i’m usually buggered by the end of the day but i only have one rest day a week so thats prob why! I haven’t actually heard of zuzkalight.com so will have to check it out!

I really like this one from (of all places) Muscle and Strength: http://www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/stephanies-circuit-style-fat-burning-workout.html
For a 30-minute workout, you repeat each circuit twice instead of three times (or at least that’s how I’ve found it works best).
I like this thread!! I’m going to be trying all of these suggestions when I have more time (end of semester insanity right now).

@Minnow: any ones in particular you like? esp 4 min ones that you can put on repeat for as many times as you want, and ones without tons of equipment?
do they have any good hiit cardio on elliptical?

@Missy_Star: Great, I will check out those DVDs! I took started jumping rope about a month ago – at first I could only do 30 seconds at a time before I was gasping for breath and feeling like I could fall over! Now I do 5 minutes with a break or two for my warmup and it’s amazing the difference – I can even jump on one leg (with the other in front) now, which was impossible for me at the beginning. I love the jump rope conditioning!
@Creiddylad: Thank you! I think I will try this one sometime this week!
@futuremrsk18: Thank you! Feeling great in a bikini is part of my motivation 😉
@carbear02: So far I’ve really liked #15, #18, and the one I did last night (#24 I believe – burpee torture.) Her workouts I generally watch once to get the gist of what she’s doing, and then write it down for reference so I can do it in my own time to my own music. She usually does 3-5 circuits of her exercises, but you can do more or less as you need.
