Oh hon, I am definitely praying for you and your babies! That is so scary, and a constant fear of mine. Good thing you acted fast. I hope they have a swift recovery!

Poor things :(. Hope they can come home to you tomorrow or better yet, today! I used to take my last dog hiking with me & always brought trail mix & always gave her the raisins (cause I don’t like them!). I didn’t learn for years how bad they were for her. I’m very glad that you knew they weren’t good!

Glad to hear they are stable and I hope they are well enough soon to come home. They are in my thoughts today.

It is hard to remember what is and isn’t toxic sometimes. I would recommend asking your vet for a list that is often distributed by the SPCA and other groups to put on your fridge. We have one with bold writing to remind us constantly of what isn’t allowed. That way should someone come over or my Fiance have a brain fart he can see in plain wording what isn’t okay.

My pups say get well soon!!!

I’m hoping for a continued recovery for those two! My cat got into an asiatic lily a year ago and we had to go through pretty much the same treatment and monitoring process. It was terrifying. Fortunately I realized what had happened early on enough to get her to the animal hospital right away and begin treatment, and it sounds like you’ve done the same for your dogs!

@OP: I had this about 8 months ago!

I never realised that raisins were toxic to dogs; I’d give her a small box every night.

When I saw something online about raisins and dogs, I called the vet asap who told me that yes, they are dangerous for dogs, but that the symptoms were fast acting.

Long story short, my Beagle is fine (And still wants her raisins).

Best wishes.

Aww your babies are adorable! I’m still praying for them even though it sounds like they may be out of the danger zone. Thank goodness Fiance said something about the raisins to you! Hoping their recovery goes well!

Omigosh I’m sooo sorry you’re going through this. I know what you mean when you say they have to be okay. I don’t know what I would do if I lost either of my furbabies, they really are like my children. Glad to see that the updates from the vet are promising, we’ll be keeping you in our thoughts!!! Please keep us updated, and we’re wishing them a speedy recovery.

Glad your babies are ok. My oldest (but smallest) went to Grandma’s for the day so that she could be watched. She was herself all day with no vomiting. So no worries there. Our puppy (9 months!) only had one or two and is a much bigger dog, so I wasn’t worried too much about her.

AS an FYI – apparently they need to eat about 32 g/kg of dog to be seriously injured. Since an average grape may be about 3-4 grams, it’s alot of grapes they would need to eat!

Hugs to you! I just went through something similar a few months ago. I’m sure they’ll be okay, this stuff has to be pretty common. You’re in my prayers!

Aww I’m so sorry this happened! Hope your furbabies recover quickly! I’ll be praying for them! I’m the exact same way, my dog IS my baby haha, if I could bring her everywhere, I would. She got spayed 2 weeks ago and I was a nervous wreck! So I definitely feel for you. I hope they come home soon so you can cuddle with them =)

Glad to hear they are ok, thanks to you!!  I didn’t know dogs couldn’t have raisins either (I’ve never had a dog).
