I don’t have any suggestions. I am just commenting because I am in the same boat! I am rethinking my decision for an outdoor ceremony since our date is the first weekend of October and I am not sure how the daylight (if any) will be around at 5:30-6:00.

Your schedule should accomodate the following:

  • Photos pre or post ceremony – First look?
  • Hair and makeup, prep time
  • Timing for vendors; arrival times
  • Ceremony info (who walks in when, what time, music if applicable)
  • Cocktail hour, any prep work going on during the cocktail hour
  • When salad/appetizers are served, when dinner is served
  • Toasts / Speeches
  • Cake Cutting
  • First Dance
  • Father/Daughter and Mother/Son Dances
  • Any other traditions

My caterer suggested 2 hours for the meal from start to finish.

Hope this helps a bti!

How do some of you ladies factor in decorations for the venue and deliveries? Do brides generally not go over to the site to give the sign off?
