You ladies all look so amazing your dresses – congrats! I had my second to last fitting last night and the dress fit perfectly, finally, which made me so much more excited. I did end up changing the underlay colour but it’s very subtle. I find it just makes the lace pop more than seeing an actual different colour underneath. I didn’t end up lowering the back or adding more tulle at the bottom but they do still need to add buttons down the back and sew the belt on. I’ll try adding some pics….

You all look so beautiful! I’m going shopping tomorrow and this is on my list to try on. I’m curious though – how does the bustle on this work?

I love this dress so much! I just bought it after much deliberation (and having bought a previous dress!) Just curious to all the posters- did you order in white or ivory?

Found this dress online and looking to go try it on at a local bridal shop. For those of you who have tried it on or wore it on your wedding day – would you find it difficult to dance in? I want to feel comfortable enough to bust a move lol.
On another note, I am a shorter girl (5’3″) In terms of alterations, does anyone have any insight into whether or not this dress would work for someone as short as me? I like the silhouette of the dress as shown, but I’m worried if they alter from just the bottom it will look disproportionate.
Love to hear your thoughts bees!

jlhalvy: I am 5’2 and wore 3inch heels in this dress. I am short so I have often been viewed as a little girl, but this dress made me feel like a woman the moment I tried it on! The lace is very classy and the illusion back is on trend. The bustle of this dress is so pretty, and I wish I could have my wedding video now to show you how it flows on the dance floor!
Btw, I am selling my dress too if you are interested 😉 happy dress hunting!

I wore the Jodie dress for my wedding in July and had major issues when it came to the fitting. It is not made for anyone with a bigger bust there is just no support in it. The seamstress was highly recommended and knew her stuff and said she had never seen a dress like it. Obviously I was gutted it was my dream dress and with 8 weeks to go I had no idea what to do. In the end I added spaghetti straps and they looked great, you would never have know they weren’t supposed to be there and I didn’t have the worry of the dress slipping down or falling out of it. I did however feel completely mis-sold by the bridal shop as they kept assuring me it would fit and that by putting cups in it it would add extra support – complete rubbish. Such a beautiful dress I just wish as with most of the fashion industry things weren’t just made for people with a small chest.
