We just did pew ends on every other row of pews, we had two different styles. And then we had a triangular arrangement at the front of church (not seen in the picture because of people but it’s at the front left in front of the pulpit). The top photo is what the church looked like from the back, the bottom middle and left were the two types of pew ends we had and the bottom right is the triangular arrangement. We got married during lent so the church was in a period of mourning and wouldn’t usually have flowers in so we had to them all with us which meant we used them all to decorate the reception venue. Although, had it been outside of lent the church we got married in usually prefers that they keep your flowers for the coming week.

We had very minimal decor onstage, and that was it 🙂

We kept the decor pretty minimal in the church as the church itself is gorgeous.  I had originally thought about doing the pews, but decided against it and am glad that I did

We have decided on an outdoor venue but these were among my inspiration photos when I first started planning. I really LOVE the look of candles along pews, they are so romantic and intimate.

We did two big flower arrangements outside at the entrance of the church, inside we lined the aisle with big block candles in glass cylinders and real rose petals. Up front we had floor standing tall glass cylinders with approx 2.5 meter tall birch trees to frame the nuptials and more block candles on the floor. There was a small table for the priest with a white table cloth that was my late grandmas, a borrowed candelabra and a small flower arrangement. We also had a grand piano for the pianist by the singer as well. It was simple but beautiful!

Debsy :  we just did pew ends. Cheap tulle from eBay so under £10 for the whole lot!

Hope that helps!

My sister and I got married at the same church (the one we grew up attending)  but hers was 18 years earlier than mine.  I just copied her decorations… 2 floral arrangements on the ledge in the sanctuary and an arrangement made around the unity candles plus a few pew bows.   Here are photos from her wedding in 1998 and ours in May.

ugh my struggle right now. Getting married in a Catholic church so the rules are very strict in terms of decor you can do. I don’t even know if it’s worth it honestly considering we are only going to be there for 40 min (not doing the full mass).

I got married in a CofE church that I grew up in. We used pew bows that my mum had saved from another wedding (I wasn’t a huge fan but she loved it) We had large orchids of each of the 8 windows surrounded by little gold paper birds which was the same as my tabel decor. My brother and I decorated the rood screen with ivy, white lisianthus and a silver fern; placing two bunches of white lisianthus in front of the altar.
Apologies for the photos being big…

We decorated with lighting and lots of candles!  We also lined the aisles with jars of baby breath. It was simple and beautiful!
