@KoiKove:  These ideas are absolutely adorable!! I’m already married but will keep the ideas in mind for future parties. The candles especially are so great and add a nice decor element! I will def use the cinammon sticks and/or apples at my next dinner party!!!!!

My inspiration!!! keys were cheap and already punched out the cards using a large puncher that I already had and my sister will write the names. I just need to figure out how to place the cards!!!

@Skittles131:  OK, I have 2 ideas. One would just be pretty table markers, and would not double as favors. I found these on BHLDN and am going to be replicating the idea for my table markers– I’m an artist and my theme (sort of) is apple blossoms, so these can be modified to that– but these really go with your theme and colors too, and they could be made with some thick cream paper and cheap acrylic paint:

Or, if you would like to have the table markers incorporate favors, I think it would be lovely to get a bunch of different shapes and sizes of non-scented candles, in your wedding colors, and make up bundles of them, tied with ribbon. The bundles could be all different shapes and colors of candles, and there’d be one for each table; there would be one candle in the bundle per person at that table. And you could attach number cards (maybe like the ones above?) to the ribbon. The bundles could stand up on the tables and people would take them apart at the end of the evening! I think non-scented candles make lovely, useful wedding favors. (ETA: just realized that you may not be talking only about table markers, but individual place markers. . . ooops).

Something like this, but with different size/heights/colors of candles:

We are using these mini chalkboards! We ordered ALOT of them, and we plan to use the extras for the buffet & drinks.

@julies1949:  I love your idea of tiny bottles with flowers and tags on them!

Another idea is using flower or herb seedlings– though that might not be very cheap. I would lovve to receive a seedling of an herb plant as my place marker! This may be what I end up doing, for place markers.

@Creiddylad:  Thanks. The OP did ask for ideas for place cards that could double as favors, not table markers.

We didn’t do place cards. We did one big seating chart at the entrance to the reception which told the guests which table they were at, we let them choose their seat at the table. We just had a favour at each place setting.

Instead of doing place cards, I just bought a nice large picture frame, and I will make up a list of guests in alphabetical order, then put their table number next to their name, and have it nicely printed. This will cot abotu $20, instead of about $200. This leaves you open to doing other things as favors that won’t be super expensive

I am getting married at a boy scout camp. What I am doing is using paper shipping/price tags and using clothespins to pin them up on a line of twine I am going to be hanging up.

You can get clothespins at the dollar store, twine is super cheap, and the tags are like $10 for like 100+ tags. So there’s that, lol

We got married during the lunar new year, so my mom had decided that it would be nice to give our guests some lucky money in red envelopes. I decided to use that to double as our placecards and had them laying on the table in front table.
