Fiance and I chose a venue that allows outside alcohol. **IMO** it’s the perfect “marriage” between having our guests pay for the bar and paying the outrageous amount for alcohol service through the venue. We’ll be heading to the Fine Wine and Spirits store (a.k.a liquor store, LOL) this evening after work!!
I’d love for you to share your favorite recipe for simple, but fun cocktails. Simple cocktail = Maybe 3…4 ingredients…? Should be fun!!
We are planning to have beer and our favorite wine as options, of course. And our catering package includes tea, soda, fruit punch, and water. Just trying to decide on what else we should serve!
Hope I get some responses! Thanks.
EDIT: Yep. We hired a Bartender!!

I have a few *~Favorites~* that are very simple!
-Captain morgan and ginger ale (it tastes just like cream soda)
-Stoli raspberry vodka and sprite
-Seagram’s 7 gin, 7up and lemon juice
-Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka, Peach Schnaaps and Lemonade
I hope this helps!

Are you having a bartender? Or are you wanting make-ahead type drinks? If it’s the make-ahead type – Sangria comes to mind – you could do a white and a red sangria – have it in big punch bowls or decanters…. if you have a bartender, it’s an entirely different ballgame!

red apple sangria is amazing. i also love firefly or jeremiah weed sweet tea vodka with limeade or lemonade (we call them hard palms – arnold palmers with liquor). i have bartended for 10 years so i have all kinds of recipes!

1 bottle of wine (red or white) + 1 bottle of sparkling grape juice or cider + sliced fruit = easiest sangria ever! Plus, you can really customize with your favorite fruits and depending on the season (citrus, apples, peaches, etc.)

Well, I am a fan of my “Saturday Night Special” martini and it’s usally a hit.
Vodka (I use raspberry or strawberry)
Sour Apple Mix
And a spritz of sprite or some other lemon-lime soda.
Sometimes I also add a shot of Peach Schnapps if I want a little more sweet.
Pour alcohol over ice into shaker. Shake. Pour in martini glass and finish off with a little sprite.

Yaayy!! Thanks for all the responses. Writing several of these down to share w Fiance. Keep em comin’ if you got em!!
@oracle: Thanks for posing the bartender question. I didn’t think to include that in the post orginally. I’ve edited it and yes, we have a hired bartender. But I still think your Sangria/Decanter idea is an awesome one!!

Lemon (or citrus) vodka with fresh squeezed lemon juice & pulp.

I love Bee’s Knees…gin, lemon, and honey. I know gin scares alot of people, but this drink is super tasty, and it’s vintagey with the name and using gin.

Have been searching for my all time favourite cocktail, so hard as theres so many to choose from. I proudly say that I now have a new contender.
I found this:
2 measures white rum
1.5 measure coconut liqueur
Hollow out a fresh pineapple, leaving a rigid out shell of about an inch think. Add rum, coconut liqueur & pineapple juice to
cocktail shaker, shake well then pour mixture into empty pineapple casing. Float a few pieces of pineapple on top, decorate and serve.
It was on the Winnerschoice online bar site. Link below if you want to have a look.
You have to see the picture of this.
