Any ladies had success with FET with not ideal quality embryos? Also, any advice with the FET would be helpful. I have 2 frozen day 3 embryos that we are preparing to transfer in early November.

BalticBee : I am currently pregnant from my fet cycle. We used day 5 embryos and only transferred one. I dont have experience with day 3 but I think it’s great they are letting you transfer 2! Fet as you can imagine is so much easier then a fresh. It’s still stressful obviously but less medicine and I was more on a predictable scheudule so that helped. I just tried to keep myself calm for the fet for my sanity. I did acupuncutee a few months leading up and through the first trimester, did meditation ( I like circle and bloom, they have a meditation dedicated to a fet transfer, if you are interested I could send you a link that discounts the program), and other then that just tried to do things I enjoyed and took it easy. Also per my acupuncturist from transfer day until bfp I ate warm or room temp food, kept my feet warm, and didnt watch anything violent or upsetting on TV. My doc didnt think all that was nessisary and it prob wasnt but it helped me to think I was going something that could possible help with the outcome. But everyone is different. I wish you the best of luck come November!

candy08 : Thank you so much and CONGRATULATIONS! So happy to hear FET success stories! I’ve been contemplating trying acupuncture as well. How did you decide/find who to go to?

ajillity81 : Thank you! I remember you going through the first IVF! Congratulations on your two littles! I’m hoping to have the same luck with my “frosties” from the first cycle. Will go check out Resolve too.
Wish we could just start the FET, so I would stop researching on boards and medical studies like a crazy person. 🙂 Too bad we have to wait for November due to our vacation plans & ZIKA concerns.

BalticBee : one of my best friends did a fresh transfer with high quality embryo, followed by a frozen transfer with a high quality embryo, followed by a frozen transfer with a poor quality embryo, and the final one is now a beautiful, healthy, rosy-cheeked one year old baby boy.

BalticBee : Thank you! My fertility clinic offers acupuncture. I did it on site the day of the transfer. A session right before and immediately after. It really relaxed me and I guess it has benefits of blood flow to the uterus etc. The clinic isnt close to where I live so I found a place that did acupuncture close to me. Read reviews and it looked ok. I went in and talked to her about what I would be going through and she has treated several women under going fertility treatments and just trying to get pregnant. I went several times before starting the fet bc I was a bundle of nervous. My first ivf sadly ended in a miscarrage so I was pretty much raw nervous! The acupuncture really calmed me down. Even my dh noticed it and he didnt even believe acupuncture would do anything!! Then once I started fet I went every week and we focused on relaxing and thickening the uterus. Once I got a bfp I went twice a month through first trimester. I havent gone in the 2nd but I can def see me going in the 3rd. Whatever you chose good luck!!
