Mine looks like a traditional dress when its all together but its actually two seperate pieces… Ill wear the skirt for the ceremony and then take it off for the reception.

Mine was ivory but it’s an eyelet lace swing dress and I added an orange crinoline for the less traditional angle.  Only change I’d make is to have had it show up more when I was standing – hindsight and all that.  It’s a fun way to go semi-traditional but enjoy a favorite color as well.  Plus so lightweight I was comfy all day long.  Mine was from Unique Vintage, bridesmaids were from Tatyana and the crinoline good ol’ Amazon.

My dress is Allure Romance 2616 in diamond white and black from their Spring 2013 collection. Allure only makes three dresses with black lace (Mine, a softer ivory/black trumpet [2767], and a champagne/black ballgown [9150]). While all are ‘bridal’ in shape and design, the black lace makes them all dramatic showstoppers.2616IMG_4862IMG_4866

dressMassive pic, but this is my dress 🙂 I got it from ‘Anya Dionne’ on Etsy, and it’s hand painted and gorgeous- looks identical to this in person (I’ve had it taken in, up and added a white sash- that’s it). Could not recommend Anya enough! She posted it me the day I purchased it and it arrived 3 days later… from Canada to Australia! Awesome!! I wanted something different- I paint, and we are getting married at a sculpture park and gallery so I thought this was perfect.
I know it’s not everyone’s taste, but I love it 🙂

Me! Found it at BCBG on clearance for $76.31! I added the sweetheart neckline (shown pinned-I have since sewed it). On the left you can see the original neckline, on the right is how it is now. I won’t be wearing a veil-probably just some baby’s breath in my hair. I’ll also be carrying an all baby’s breath bouquet. no bridal party.

dannibee :  Anya Dionne is amazing! She lives in my city so I saw a lot of her work when I was looking! So cool to see a bride who will be wearing her creations

angelinagonzalez :  I always love seeing your dress on the boards. I have major dress (and color coordination) regret when I see it.

My bodice was covered in pearls. So a ball gown with a twist .
