    Truvee:  oooh yay that’s me!

I personally thought 2 carats was too big on me and I’m a size 5.5- it felt costumey and like I might knock it on everything. We shot for 1.5 and saved a few k getting 1.45 (looked the same). No matter what though- get excellent cut/polish/symmetry if you can. That’s what really makes a ring sing sparkles from the rooftops.

Eta: this is a 2ish mm knife edge band

MrsBuesleBee:  You hit the nail on the head. After not knowing much about diamonds, and then reading everything AI could, I now realize cut is the most important, then clarity, and finally color. Th4re is such an obvious diffrence between your stone and mine…all due to cut. Yours is  a gorgeous stone!

Truvee:  I would go with 2 carats. It’s more often the case that a woman wishes she had gone bigger than the other way around! My center stone is 1.6 carats, excellent cut, E color, yada yada, but it looks more like 2+ carats due to my small finger size even if there wasn’t a bloom halo. I love how it stands out!

Truvee:  Thanks!  I think the band is about 2.25-2.5mm.  The knife edge gives it the illusion of being even thinner.

MrsBuesleBee:  I just love your ring, it’s one of my absolute favorites on here. I’m planning on getting around a 1.8 for my size 7 finger in the same setting and am hoping it turns out looking just a fraction as good as yours! 🙂

Truvee:  I don’t have much of a problem, I do take it off the shower though because it gets stuck in my hair.. That’s about it. Its a cathedral setting too which is quite high.

My band is about 1 mm to 1.5 mm.
