Truvee:  I love the knife edge- it looks delicate but it’s really quite substantial. I love the swoop of the basket of this ring too- shows a lot of rock on the side aka more light aka brighter/sparklier!

Truvee:  I do keep it on in the shower- I have a little diamond cleaning brush in there so I was myself then wash my diamond before I get out and it’s super sparkly. I take it off for a minute to put on body lotion though so it doesn’t gunk up.

Thats really the only time i take it off though- part of the appeal of the tiffany setting is it’s hardiness I think.

Truvee:  Mine is around 1.75-2 carats, not sure of the exact weight. I wear a 5.5. The band is 2.5mm and gets wider near the diamond. I would definitely recommend going with the bigger stone. I would wear a 3-4 carat rock if we had the cash!

MrsBuesleBee:  I will have it set in a solitaire setting I haven’t decided on a specific setting yet. I will still wear my halo wedding set when I’m wanting a little more sparkle but prefer a solitaire for everyday wear.

My ring size is 4.5 and my center diamond is 2 carats. my band is 2mm and I live the contrast. It’s so dainty and delicate. It makes me feel really feminine. I love it!!!

I went through the same thought process. I ended up getting a 1.55 carat, size 7. But for the price of a lower quality 2 carat, I was able to get D color, ideal cut, VVS1. Although, I would have been happy with anything my Fiance chose.  It truly depends on what you love, can afford, and how it’s set, bc the size is literally .5 mm range of difference. In fact with the right cut, you can get a 1.5 for close to a 2 carat poorer cut. Mine is 7.89 mm.

mrssloan2013:  it’s good to have options! I really want an east/west set oval halo out of this family diamond Fiance has to make a glorious RHR. Maybe for an anniversary!

MrsBuesleBee:  that would look awesome!  I love modern look of east west set stones! That’s a very nice oval it’s got a great shape. I love ovals but not ones that are really long and skinny. Yours is perfect. So that one would look amazing in a halo! Do you have any inspiration photos of what you want it to look like? Your round solitaire is one of my favorites btw!

Go for the 2.  or depending on how the cut is, if you get a shallow cut the face will appear larger.  the other option is to get the 1.5 and do a halo … Making the profile a lot larger.

    I voted 2 carats! ^^ I wear a 2.26ct on a size 3.75 finger with a 2mm platinum band, and I love my ring!

@Jules725 your ring is beautiful. I love how the red stone (ruby?) is on the side. Love it!!

I currently have a quad cut style ring that is the size of 1-1.5 carat but am upgrading to a 2.05 ct (just over 8mm) moissanite soon. Sooooo excited
