So many beautiful rings!! I’m addicted to browsing Bee ring posts, send help! I think 1.5 is perfect for size 5 in round, but for some reason, I feel like the fancy shapes look better in bigger proportions. If you were going with another shape, go closer to 2, I say 😁

beenice :  I have to agree, with Fancy Shapes, I want at least 1.5ct bordering on 3ct if we are going with a solitaire. 1.25-2ct with a halo.

ivvy :  The best ring size also varies with the band width with wider bands requiring a larger size to be comfortable, so a solution may be to wear an enhancer or a couple more bands in the winter.

ivvy :  I was just trying on rings at a chain store in the mall to decide on my perfect size–which is 1.5ct!  I am ordering a ring through Tianyu Gems (China).  My ring will be a GH VS 1.5ct moissanite.  Not sure about the specs of the ring in the picture.  Sorry πŸ™‚

1.4 carats on size 5.  I wouldn’t change a thing.  My perception of it sometimes fluctuates and there are days when it looks “smaller,” but other days when I’m like “DAMN, that’s a rock.”  So it balances out and I think it’s perfect.

I have a 1.8 carat on a size 8, so roughly the same finger coverage or mine is a little less, but I have sidestones. I LOVE my ring, but wouldn’t go bigger, and would have gotten something more modest if my fiance was buying me a ring, but mine is a family heirloom and very meaningful! 97B4A5F2-C6B2-4929-997E-5EC42DA07D55

Here is 1.64 carats on a size 6 finger. It’s definitely not too big, in fact we are looking to eventually upgrade it to 2+ carats.
