There is COMPLETELY false information about Morganites being told on here by someone with a moissonite agendas so I must clear it up! Morganites are VERY hard stones 71/2 to 8 is their MOH’s scale rating which makes them engagement ring friendly & able to be worn everyday forever! ANYTHING above. 7 is hard enough for engagement rings. Moissonite is strong but it is not natural but rather man made just like a cubic zirconia. There is natural moissonite but it’s not jewelry grade. I much prefer something natural for something as special as an engagement ring and pretty pink Morganite is my favorite!

Morganites are gorgeous but I would also be concerned about the hardness. I had an emerald ring that I wore daily and the surface of the stone is visibly worn and scratched now, so I save all “softer” stones for occasional wear rather than daily.

Hello bees! New member here. While shopping for my morganite engagement ring, I came across this thread and very much enjoyed looking at all of your photos. Now that my ring is on my finger, I signed up for an account, just so I could share my photo too:

Good gosh, I am waiting on my moissanite ering.. but damn, those morganite ones are SO LOVELY! Such a lovely and charming vintage feel while still looking like a celebrity ering! I feel like it would be more than fine with everyday wear.. I mean after all, if a morganite is a 7 or 8, and a moissanite is a 9.2, and a diamond is 10.. Really, how likely to break are they? Unless you’re going to be punching some steel walls..

Hi ladies! I got engaged a couple of months ago and wanted to show off my beautiful morganite ring. 🙂 I saw it a few months before my fiance proposed to me and had my friends and sister drop hints to him and it worked. I love love LOVE it! I read somewhere that it is a type of emerald, which has meaning to my fiance and I because we both have May birthdays and our birthstones are emeralds. I am just concerned about the wedding band. I’m not sure what will fit, since it is such an oddly cut ring. Anyone else having that problem?
