Don’t cry! I promise it will look amazing! Plus your ring is supposed to be a rose, so color will look perfect!

I found these on Pinterest (Rose ring in rose gold). Love!

@ citizenerased14   I read your thread from yesterday and I can see why you now want white gold prongs so badly! Looking at the design of the ring, I actually thought it would look great with Rose gold prongs. If you’re getting a colorless stone (it’s a moissy right?), I promise it won’t pick up a ton of color once set. Finally, there is something called “rhodium pen”, which is an instrument allowing the jeweler to spot plate only the prongs. You could just get your ring in RG, and if you don’t like it in person, find a local place where they can rhodium plate the prongs for you. Chin up!

I love rose gold! Might have seen mine recently already, but I’ll post it again πŸ˜‰ i love rose gold. Don’t like the look of just the prongs being a different color..but to each their own. I’ve gotten sideways looks from people about my rose gold…but i absolutely love everything about my ring, and i was fortunate enough to have been given exactly what i wanted in my setting.

Hey Bee,

oh no I know how disappointing that can be but i’d say as your ring has metal coming up around the stone aswell which will be in rose gold it may not make much of a difference.

As in if it was a solitaire the only metal close to the stone would be the prongs so would stand out more.

By the way your ring is gorgeous and I love Rose gold. You must post pics when you get it smile

The way your particular ring is designed I really don’t think the white prongs are necessary. In fact, while I normall prefer white prongs, it might even look awkward with your particular ring because the rose gold metal surrounds the stone anyway…don’t worry your ring will be amazing. Rose gold is beautiful in it own right. It’s not going to take away from the center stone.

If it helps, I voted for rose gold on your last post! I get what you are feeling as I sent my jewler a photo of what I liked but with a few changes and was worried the whole time it was being made that I wouldn’t like it since I didn’t know exactly what it would look like. I worried over literally every detail: band width, color, prongs, high profile etc etc since he was just recreating it from a photo and it’s not actually his design. I was particularly worried that ld regret getting it in the rose gold rather than the photos yellow gold. Now that I have it I LOVE it and I realise that I just had to trust my initial choice and not worry about all the what ifs! I’m sure you’ll love yours too!
