If you think it’s a bad idea, don’t do. Pretty simple Wink

Ok, I won’t lie, I looked at some other pics of you and I think that *maybe* you could pull it off. But true black is evil. From what I hear, it’s tricky to maintain and super difficult to get out without completely frying your hair. You have it short, so maybe you’re okay with just cutting off whatever you dye black at some point–but if that doesn’t sound appealing, I would advocate going for a very dark brown and seeing if that satisfies your urges. You can always go from dark brown to true black, but if it’s black and you *don’t* like it, it’s going to be a pain in the ass to fix.

I will tell you not to, but I cannot say no to a bottle of black hair dye. πŸ˜€

@SleepingWithNuns:  I dye my hair all the time.  It’s hard when you want to try something, no one can stop you.  Even if someone convinces you not to right now, you will eventually do it anyway because you still want to no matter what.  My thought is, it’s just hair.  If you decide you don’t like the black at all,  then you can always change it.  It’s not permanent like a tattoo.

Sorry, I know you wanted someone to talk you out of it, and I definately did not help you with that.

I think you would look beautiful! But like others said, if you hate it- its a huge hassle. and also I reccomend doing it professionally if you can and must πŸ˜‰

Snow White is pale as can be with black hair and rosy cheeks….just sayin’ πŸ˜‰

Seriously I’d go the darkest brown possible so that it looks black and yet you can get it out after you decide to go red Again or blonde….Let’s be honest here, you’re gonna do it anyhow, I always do!

Also, I was able to get mine bleached out easily at the salon, and dyed right over it. And I had been dying my hair black and dark brown for YEARS.

It’s just hair, have fun with it.

I actually had a MUCH harder time getting the Pravana fire engine red out of my hair πŸ™‚

DO IT!!!!!!

Ahaha, I’m no help at all.  But I think you could rock it (although I still “vote” for a very dark brown)!

I’m paler than you and have blue black hair. I get complimented on in all the time. I say go for it. BUT, it’s really really hard to go lighter again once you go that dark. I don’t mind because I’m consistently dark but if you change your hair colour a lot this is something you might want to take into consideration.

@SleepingWithNuns: yeah at the time I used the box color (this was BEFORE I knew anything and went to cosmetology school) I went back to my natural blonde because my hair seriously grows so fast it was ridiculous to keep up lol
