I think the dress looks good on you.  It really just depends on what you want – Are you the type of girl that needs to have a dress that she is totally in love with to be happy?  I mean, from your post it sounds like you didn’t really care that much at the time, so why should you over-think it now?  The dress is certainly flattering on you, so I don’t think you should make a decision thinking that it doesn’t look good on you.  But if you don’t *love* the actual dress, and you feel like you NEED to love it…then keep looking.  If you aren’t that kind of girl, I say stick with it!

I agree that the dress looks good on you. However, you don’t seem overly thrilled about the dress in the photos. Are you sure you are OK with the dress? I think it will look really great once you actually have your size.

I definitely think the size (fit) and the angle are messing with your head!  I think it will look great on you when everything is all ready to go for the big day!  Is it the fit or the “the isn’t my style”?   bc I think the latter is more serious, but it sounds like you don’t care as much about a style statement than the fit    In that case, forgettaboutit!

It’s beautiful!! It’s up to you – does the style and dress fit “you” and what you’re looking for, or did you just settle? I never had a “THIS IS IT!” moment, but I do, however, love my dress more and more each time I see it.

I think the dress looks fine, it is the lighting and the angle that is messing with you.

Can you go back to the bridal store and try it on again?  This time do your hair and make up like you would in the wedding and put on a veil if you are going to wear one.  Then have a friend take some better pictures for you.

Can’t they put a corset back into the inside of the dress?  You won’t see it from the back (the zipper would be over it) but it would help make your waist look tiny. Also, what undergarmets do you have on with this dress?  What about just finding a long bra with a tight waist to help?

Per your followup comment– if you like the cinched corset look, can’t you just wear a longline corset underneath, and have the seamstress alter it to fit those “new” curves?

Ok ….to me you DO look teeny! I love the side detail.

But you do not look too thrilled with the dress. Do not buy unless you are happy, or the morning of, you will be stressed

I think the dress looks beautiful and of course will fit you better when ordered in your size. But you have to love it – if it’s in your budget to look around for something else then go ahead and keep shopping. But if not, I think this is a great dress to be ‘stuck’ with!

the dress is alright–not bad but not GLAM factor either. but if you are okay with it—don’t lose sleep over it. Most strapless wedding gowns look the same anyways.

I think it looks great on you!  And I think part of what you’re feeling might be that you are generally uncomfortable with pics of you being taken / being in the spotlight…or at least that’s what I’m sensing.
