Yes you will be fine!  The sore throat could just be from some post nasal drip!  I get it occasionally.

Hey, why don’t you tell MIL you can’t do dinner Wednesday and that you are only free Sunday?  That’s what I would do so my plans weren’t being changed by someone else…

Your day is going to be great!

@MrsGatito:  step one – take a breath, step two – take a really deep breath. It will all be okay 🙂

Make yourself some tea with honey, gargle with some salt water and kick that sore throat out the window.  Get as much sleep as you can.  Take a relaxing bath (epsom salts are the best thing ever – coming from someone who is naturally high strung with a high stress level, those things turn me to jello and I sleep like a baby after 30 minutes in a hot tub with a couple cups of salts!)

Sure, of course you can be better by Saturday. If nothing else, adrenaline will kick in. But I’d certainly consider a spot of self-medication from now on. Hot lemon and honey drinks will ease your throat and any incipient temperature can be brought down with cold/flu tablets (usually aspirin and paracetomol). Busy as you are, try and get some rest whenever possible. Also, consider roping in friends and family for the domestic stuff. You don’t have to tire yourself out cleaning.

Start popping zinc ASAP. Gets rid of my oncoming colds within a day or two. Find them in the vitamin section.

My husband and I both woke up with sore throats the day before the wedding yet on the wedding day we were fine. Adrenaline kicks in and takes over, trust me! As for dinner, can you see if your MIL can change it to Tuesday? If not, go for dinner and have a great time! It’s your wedding weekend and everything will be great 🙂

@MrsGatito:  Don’t worry it will ALL work out fine. I had a crazy schedule like you before our wedding, I felt like i didn’t sit down for even a minute in the week running up to the wedding and I completely lost my voice on 3 days before the wedding!! Everyone around me was sick with tummy bugs and colds and I was so scared that I would get ill but we had no choice but to just kept going at 100 miles an hour and I woke up the day of the wedding and everything was fine.

@MrsGatito:  It’s going to be fine.  I write this-  from my bed, blowing my nose right now.  I, too, am getting married on Saturday.  I still have things I have to do- and I was all taking the laid-back approach as of a few days ago.  My sore throat started on Sunday night, I was in bed all day yesterday.  And today- to be honest, I don’t feel like moving, but I know I need to at some point. I still have to make it ti the florists, the bakery + a million other things, I just can’t think of them right now because I feel like sh*t.

Take a deep breath- the more you stress out about being sick, the longer it will take for your body to get better.  I’ve already resorted to the fact that I may not accomplish some of the details I had hoped.  But I’m not going to freak out.  If you still don’t feel well, cancel dinner on Wednesday.  You have the right to do that- you’re getting married and you’re sick.  If people don’t understand that- they can take a hike.

I will send positive vibes your way, day twin!!!

@MrsGatito:  Oh- and def get you FI to step in and take over where he can!  Mine just sent me a text from work that told me to get a list ready of whatever I can for him to handle so I don’t have to!

@MrsGatito:  Everything will be fine! I was massively sick the day before my wedding but on the morning of it was gone because of the adrenaline and happiness pulsing through my body. Same thing for DH. Enjoy and congrats!
