- Wedding: March 2012
My wedding is this March and being that I expect ot be very busy with work and family, I have already bought my fresh manzanita branches for centerpieces. Before doing so, I asked the vendor if the branches would change color (they currently appear as if there is a red “skin” on them), or become brittle once March rolls around. He said no, and that they would harden as they dry, instead of becoming brittle. So, I purchased them and they looked great! My concern is that a few of the branches have some gray on them (the color of old, untreated wood), and some of the smaller, twig-like branches have the same gray on them and are breaking off.
For the most part, they are beautiful. But, I worry that I have purchased them too early. And that they will not look the same by the time the wedding is here.
What do you all think? Tell me about some of your experiences with this, please!
