Sorry but that sounds about right. Book of Mormon has been sold out for awhile so if you found tickets you probably did pay premium prices.

Do you know where the seats are? Did you book through the box office, or a ticket broker?

When are the tickets for? If you are getting them on short notice (less than a few months in advance) I do agree that you are lucky to get them at all. They are probably super expensive because you are booking a sold out show last minute.

@ticatica:  If you are near the front of the mezzanine, that’s not bad at all.

I’d call back and ensure it was $260/ticket and they didn’t accidentally double charge you.

But Book of Mormon is supposed to be amazing and that’s why it is so expensive and hard to get tickets for.

@ticatica:  Usually each show has its own official site, or you can go through ticketmaster.com

The tickets from broadway.com should be legit, but it looks like they charge large fees for their tickets. (i.e. a ticket with a face value of $150 has a fee of almost $100). I’d be curious to know what those fees are for.

I’ve read reviews of the theatre and it is supposed to be quite small so unless you actually bought partial view seats, your view should be fine. Unless you have a tall person in front of you!
