An average of 6.5 alcoholic drinks per person for 3.5 hours of open bar is PLENTY!

Your friends and family are lushes.... up it to 8 servings per person on average!

That is plenty.  Most people wont have 6, so for those that do there will be enough.

We had similar numbers as yours and went through less booze.  We had two cases of red, one of white, one case champagne, two cases of stella artois and several large jugs of a local beer.  We had leftover wine, beer and no champagne.  We were anticipating people would only drink champagne for the toasts, but people liked it alot and asked for more after the toasts!  We were planning on returning it if we had leftover, but it’s nice to crack open a “wedding beer” after you get back from the honeymoon.  As long as you have somewhere to put it, it isn’t that bad having extra beverages around.
