Firstly your dress is loooovely!

If you don’t mind mismatched gowns how about letting the girls chose their own dresses (with some basic guidelines) that match their personal style. That’s what I’m doing with my girls. I’m not a fan of the typical ‘bridesmaid’ look.

inspiration from oncewed…

I said “pick a red dress” this is what they’ve come up with. Two more girls need to get their dresses but this has been so fun and i think it looks cuter because everyone is wearing something they love…and they’ll spend what they are comfortable with spending.

I like the one shoulder!

Is there a color family you’re good with? Then everyone could get their own thing!

Or boleros?

Also, I think one classic style that appeases to everyone from the modest to the fashionista are cap sleeves. So darn cute!

1950’s style dresses are both modest and very much in style right now.

JCrew has a good variety of modest vs more open dresses, and they’re often on sale for 50% or less! Whee! My girls got $200 dresses for like $80 each (haha except my poor sister who I made order first!)

Otherwise, I think the variety would look really cute, too.

The one shoulder that you linked to is gorgeous!  I think it’s modest and very stylish.
