This year is his champagane birthday andits our first birthday as a married couple. I want it to be super special. What do you ladies usually buy? Hes really into music and media but that doesnt seem special. And having just got married in december money is kind of tight. My budget is 200 bucks max. He always goes overboard and gets me somethingso fantastic and romantic. And i alwaays buy him boring unoriginal pactical gifts.
ANY ideas would be appreciated

@nibbler: treat him to an experience! buy a couple tickets to a local artist or music festival. pack a picnic or hit your favorite restaurant and make a day of it. I’ve found the best gifts are the super personal ones. good luck!

Question… What is a Champagne Birthday ?
(Must be a local expression… I’ve never heard of it)

for exmple ifyou were born on the 19th youre champagne birthday would occur when youare 19. Or when you were born on the 31st your champagne birthday would be when you turned 31.
Concert is a great idea but last time we went to a show his ears ATUALLY bled and we had to leave early. (he was a drummer and never wore proper protection when he was a young las. He regrets it now).
Id love to get tickets tomumford and sons but they sold out almost immediately

I’ve never heard of a champagne bday either. I was thinking picnic & local music too. Other guy gifts… watches, baseball tickets (season started!!!), tickets to a comedy show, does he collect anything? He was a drummer, would he be interested in learning another instrument?

I’ve heard of it as a “golden” birthday.

@MsSparklyBee: He does love campin gand backpacking. Maybe a hike in the woods with a picnic would be nice, Sounds very cute. And ill present him with a little gift there. He already plays guitar (he has an electric and acoutic) drums (and a beaut of a set and an electric set) a base guitar and he plays piano on a keyboard. Maybe a banjo. but maybe that would drive me insane. ha. I dont know anything about musical isnuments and doo-dads so i feel i would be scammed and over pay for crap
