Has anyone tried making these?
If so, I wanted to know what dimensions were the invitations and envelopes. Also how much you paid for postage (assuming they are heavier than normal invites). And finally, where you bought the Plexi.

Hey,I know Home Depot & Lowes generally has clear Plexi in 4’x8′ sheets. I’m not too sure about where you can find colored plexi. Clear Plexi by itself is generally pretty pricey. Have you worked with Plexi before?
Also, I think Michaels might have Plexi in smaller sheets, like 2’x2′.

I did in Shop Class — YEARS ago! I wonder if those home stores will cut it too. Thanks for the pointer.

They’ve got colored plexi and cut to size!I’m sure then there are other sites out there!
God, I’m starting to really like this idea on really thin plexi. Or even transparencies. Yowzer, that would look so nice! Unfortunately my budget does not accomodate that and my invites are double sided!

These ideas are very popular in scrapbooking. You can go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy sheets of it and they’ll cut it down for you. They charge for the cuts, so it might get expensive depending on how many invites you need.
Hambly sells thick transparencies. Invitations would print GORGEOUS on them.
