Ok, so here’s the deal. This is the dress I picked for my Bridesmaid or Best Man. It has all the sizes we needed, and was brand new. Now, as reviews are starting to roll through, people are saying this dress runs at least 1 size small. My Maid/Matron of Honor purchased the largest size they had (we pre-ordered over a month ago and still havent received the dresses). I’m starting to get worried that her dress will not fit her. So, I’m wondering if anyone knows:
1. Is it possible to make this dress 1 (maybe more) sizes bigger through alterations and what not?
2. Are there any other options for a Maid/Matron of Honor dress that would go with this? The color is listed as Tiffany Blue, but I’m also using a lot of plum in my wedding and would consider plum as a Maid/Matron of Honor dress color if I have to.
I’d really prefer them all being in the same dress so noone feels out of place.

The only way the dress can be taken out that much is if there is enough extra fabric in the seams to do so. The only other option would be to find the same or similar material at a fabric store and have them sew in a panel. I am not sure what size ur Maid/Matron of Honor is but Alfred Angelo goes all the way up to size 30 and he has AMAZING dresses. You could check his website…good news is because she’s ur Maid/Matron of Honor it’s not uncommon for her to be in a different dress if that ends up being your only option…good luck!

We had this problem too….my sister is too large for the sizes that the store we got our Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses from carried. She has a dress maker she is going to, who was able to match up the fabric. Her dress will be very similar to the other girls but will have more of a sleeve so she feels more comfortable and a bit of a different neckline which will support her better. She is the maid of honor so I was okay with her dress being a little different. As long as the colors match or coordinate, she won’t stick out so much in the pics.

How plus size are we talking?
I’m going to say what no one else might say — as a plus size girl, I’d run so far away from that dress for so many reasons. Even if the dress was available in my size, that is not a flattering dress for a plus size girl. Hopefully she’s on the lower end of plus size and will be able to pull it off and feel comfortable!
If it doesn’t, I would start looking for a dress in the same fabric (can’t tell from the pic what that is). AA and Davids are good places to start, but even the mall stores would probably carry something that coordinates well.

She’s typically a size 16, and the dress comes in a 16, but most people are saying that it runs at least 1 size small. All the dresses are already ordered, so changing it for all of them isnt an option. I’m getting really worried that it’s not going to work!
