cbryns :
I think this ‘..‘the second one looks kind of frumpy, like an old grandma dress. ” is a silly , inaccurate (and ageist ) remark . I do agree that is has rather a lot going on though, and tends, because of that, to add the appearance of size to bust and the arms.
I think if you altered the sleeves to 3/4 or even elbow length it would look a lot better however. And certainly no belt, it has quite enough detail already.
You look great in both btw.

cbryns : I think you look great in both dresses. The first is much more flattering; however, I like the style of the second one.

cbryns : The first one is so much more flattering. I know a lot of women are self-conscious about their arms whether they need to be or not, but I think those sleeves draw far more attention to them than having no sleeves at all. I’m not a fan of the trend of illusions with lace hovering by itself, though, it looks like a skin ailment to me. You look gorgeous in the first dress and quite honestly your arms look absolutely fine – that’s all in your head.

First one all the way!!
I was also self conscious of my arms but when it came down to it decided to go with the dress I loved and I’ll never regret that!
Nobodys looking at your arms, I know now that I never even glanced at friends arms during weddings. Honestly i wish I would’ve found that first dress when I was shopping for one a couple years ago.

Agree with a ball gown but not the ruffles. I would love to see something like #1 but without the busy bottom half. I love the belt with the cluster on the side and added a pop of color! It doesn’t cut you into two like the other full bling belt did.
I would like to see a ball gown on you with no belt also. Sweetheart neckline looks great on you! I wouldn’t deviate on that.
A veil will distract from your arms enough 🙂 Try a veil on with the strapless dresses you really like.

Based in the updates I’m doubling down in #1- just gorgeous on you. I could never wear a skirt like that, am so jealous. It’s perfect on you.
