Keywords: BIG. HAIR.

I had clip in extensions added for volume and length, had it teased to be nice and poofy and pulled it into a side-ponytail for my engagement shoot.  I think it makes my head look bigger, and thus makes my whole body look more proportional (aka slimmer).  I think I will do it the same way for my wedding.

Very pretty!  I am dying to see more pictures too.  Great idea for a post!

I love this hair style but I haven’t done a trial yet.

I agree with the volume. This probably isn’t exactly what I’m going with, but this is how I did my hair for a formal event and I liked how it looked. I don’t have a great pic of the back, but it was curls all pinned up with a flower clipped in. Sorry so big!!

I haven’t gotten married yet, this is an image from my hair and make-up trial. We are going to use extensions to make my hair long, but basically it’ll be this half up half down curled style. And lots of teasing!

I’m sorry I don’t have pix yet– my best friend is a pro hairstylist and will be doing my hair for my wedding day, but i don’t see her until St. Patty’s Day (We live 3 states apart).  I’ll definitely try to remember to post pix though.

I can, however tell you what we’re planning on doing–

2 symmetrical victory rolls up top with the top 1/2 of my hair and side-swept bangs with the remaining curled and pulled into a side ponytail with a rhinestone encrusted pony-barette.  The sideswept pony will be on my right side since the bow detail on my dress is on the left, and the curls will fall just below my bust.

My hair is down to my lower back with minimal layers (only my “bangs” which are so long they shouldn’t really qualify as bangs).  We’re not anticipating needing extensions.

My hair is super fine, thin and pencil straight. My sister-in-law styled it for me. As you can see, she teased the top to give the tiara and veil something to sit on, inserted the tiara, pulled the top and sides back, and then curled like crazy. I have a picture somewhere of the curls in back, but it’s not digitized. I really loved it. I don’t know what kind of hairspray she used, but the curls held all day. The second picture is after the ceremony and reception when the photographer took us to a nearby pecan grove for some outdoor shots. It was Alabama June heat, so the humidity had practically made the air swimmable. Many of the curls had loosened by the time this picture was taken, but you can still get an idea of what the back and sides looked like for the ceremony. I wish I could do my hair this way everyday! (Or better yet have someone else do my hair this way everyday :D)
