3 out of my 4 bridesmaids are plus size and while we haven’t gone dress hunting yet, 2 of them have already voiced concerns over finding a dress that is flattering, fits them, and they can afford.
I am NOT going to be picky. I told them that I would pick the color (silvery blue), and they could pick the dress. The only stipulation I have is that they are all the same color and length. If they want short, fine. If they want long, fine. If they want 4 different dresses that are the same length and same color, fine. I want them to be comfortable and feel good about themselves!
The thing is, they have SUCH different body types. My Maid/Matron of Honor (my sister) is about a size 14-16 (everyday size) and curvy all over with, like, D cup boobs.
Bridesmaid or Best Man 1 is about 5 feet tall, skinny little chicken legs, big belly and HUGE (I mean HUGE) boobs. Seriously, she’s like an F cup. I actually feel kinda bad for her b/c she’s really insecure about it. : /
Bridesmaid or Best Man 2 is, like, 5 feet 11 inches and probably close to 300 lbs. I’d guess she’s a size 20-22ish and I think she’s beautiful but she is also insecure about her weight/chest size.
Bridesmaid or Best Man 3 is about 5 foot 5 inches and, like, 130 lbs. She’s obviously WAY smaller than any of the other BMs (and probably, like, 20 lbs. thinner than me), so I know pretty much anything will look great on her, but I’m afraid the other girls are going to feel …”overshadowed” by her b/c she has, like, a perfect body, gorgeous red hair, ya know, the whole package. lol
So I’m just looking for suggestions on where to find dresses that might flatter everyone. Oh and I’d like to keep them under $150 …. ugh.
Any advice? Thanks!
