Here is my DREAM dress that was unfortunately above my budget but it’s partially lace. It’s a Private Label by G Style # 1402

@nerd2215:  I think miciru4ever is one of the prettiest brides on thie website! She looks great in her lace dress.

Lace is lovely on all brides on this thread, wow! Just fabulous!

I am a plus size person myself so sympathize. From looking at a lot of photos on this website I’d say: stay away from pick ups in the skirt, they just seem “big” and heavy to me, not something that is good for plus sized brides. That’s only my opinion of course. I think fabrics that are light (chiffon) or smooth ( light satin) are good. While I don’t like satin myselve as a fabric, it can be slimming in the right configuration.

But I love lace and think it’s flattering on most all people.

It depends on where you carry you weight where a flattering waistline would be. I hope you find a bridal consultant who is good with plus sized brides. Good luck!

I wore a partial lace dress  – in the first set of photos, I’m on the right (my wife is the left).  My dress was Primavera by Maggie Sottero and I Loved it!!!!  I think it worked really well for a plus size bride.   In the 2nd set of photos, you can see the top of my dress better which was a thicker chiffon which helped give the bust and waist more structure.

@nerd2215: i had envisioned a lace dress fo. my wedding but because I settled and became a 2 dress bride I didn’t allot enough time for ordering when I came to my senses lol but when trying on dresses I had tried on all different styles and I knew I wanted a figure flattering dress and Maggie sottero was definitely the dresses to try on and I found the dropped waist gowns were the most flattering on my especially with the corsets because it just gives you a great shape , what shape are you and have you tried all styles ?? These are the dresses I drooled over lol

I didn’t think I would post these ever but I have gotten so much from seeing other lovely ladies posting their “real size” pictures on here that I figured I should give back for someone else.

I didn’t pick either of these dresses, I’m still looking. This was too small for me so it isn’t closed in the back.  When I tried on another gown that was similar but would actually zip it gave me a much more defined waist (but I don’t like the fit of it on me, I think I look awkward).  Please disregard my stomach ahah.

Hi this is my dress sorry for the weird pics it was my first fitting and the boob part it far too big!!!

I had my dress made mainly because I’m very body conscious so I done the measurements myself and had the dress made online and was so surprised at how good the dress was! I didn’t go for a style that would flatter me I went for what I wanted which was a vintage lace style!! I’m still not sold on wearing the petticoat but it flares our at the right places so if you have problem hips it takes the emphasis off them and makes the dress more princessy!

Tell me what you think off the dress as I’m really nervous about it and if I can help u anymore I will!!!
