One bridal shop I went to told me that I could order a specific Maggie in if I couldn’t find it anywhere. They told me it would cost $75 to order in to try on. I am not totally positive on how it works. I am not sure if you can designate what color or size it comes in. You could call around and see how it works if you really want to try it on!!

I and 5.6 and was married in the Isadora size 10 last Sept. I saw it online and new it was my dress and ordered it without even trying it on.  I LOVE LOVE LOVED it and it was super flattering on me.  If you love the look of it have you thought about trying on another Maggie dress with a similar drop waist just to see if the style is right for you?  If you can pull off a drop waist in another dress I would imagine the Isadora should be fine too.  I don’t see how that dress could look bad on anyone, it’s truly gorgeous and I’m sure you’ll be wearing heals right 😉

I really like this dress but tulle was not appropriate for my venue so I sadly had to walk away. It is a lovely dress. I am a size 14 so here is an example.

@Mrs.Elivs: Aww thanks, yeah it’s a gorgeous dress. I really love lace but tulle and lace didn’t fit my venue so I ended up with satin and crystals. I still wonder if I made the right decision.

@Caddyizzle:

It is a gorgeous dress!  I am in love with the Isadora Marie and tried very hard to find one to try on.  I had a really lovely bridal store show it to me and explain how it would not be flattering.  I held it up to me (I’m a street size 16 and it was an 8) and I could see that it would not look great on a short plus size woman.  I like the Isadora as well, but it really depends on your body shape.

I am more of an hour glass shape I think and that drop waist just makes my belly pop.  I have been trying on loads of styles trying to find the right one.

I am mostly in love with Maggie dresses, but think I might have found a Sopiha Tolli that I might buy.  The hardest thing I found was that the Dress I loved and the Dress I might buy are completely different.  I guess whether you are an 8 or an 18 you have to buy what looks good on you.

I cried when I tried on this Maggie Dress, I was sure it was the dress for me.  But everyone hated it on me and in hindsight, it might not have been the most flattering.

After trying many dresses, I think this is what I am ending up with..

and here is a couple of drop waisted ones I tried that just didn’t work…

@libelulavaga:

Thank you, but I’ve just stressed myself out looking at all the dresses on here.  I’m having second thoughts

I know it’s a long-shot with reviving this thread, but hopefully my post can help out someone else who may be having the same problem..

I recently tried on the Isadora, and I believe it’s the ‘one’. I’m a street size 14/16, and 5’2″-ish, and somehow sqeezed into a sample size 10. Needless to say it’s not fitting quite right, but this gives you an idea of what it might be like..
