After spending hours looking at beautiful dresses online and assuming none of them would look good on me I am so glad to see this post.  I truly was dreading going anywhere and actually trying dresses on.  I was afraid of none of them fitting and that none of them would help my problem areas at all.  I also feared what the salespeople might think about someone my size wanting to try dresses on.  I was beginning to think my hopes of wearing a beautiful dress would just have to be dashed and we would elope in street clothes.  I feel so much better after seeing these photos and now knowing I am not the only ‘plus size’ woman out there who wants to wear a beautiful dress.

It was really difficult for me to find any pictures of me that were full body pictures, for the explicit reason that I usually HATE them of myself. Like, loathe.

My wedding day and some of my e-pics have been my only exception. ๐Ÿ˜€

Wedding:

Keep in mind I am quite a bit larger than every single one of my bridesmaids (my MoH by quite a lot) and I still didn’t even feel huge! (For the record: BMs range from size 0 to 18, I am a 22.)

And here is a little collage of the few pictures I have of me with my whole body on them. Only for you, ladies.

I’m 5’10, so I’m pretty much all leg, squishing my middle together and making it huge. I have stubborn belly fat for sure (thanks PCOS). I have really big legs – my calves are very muscular but my thighs are just plain ol’ huge. I also don’t like my arms…or double chin. haha. And even feeling like that, I LOVED how my dress made me look & feel. Corset backs, structure, A-line…it just worked for me. Or so I think. Lol.

I hide my problem areas in certain clothes (I’m a size 12 apple shape) but I have a few photos that show a little more… and my dress…

@LRCWedding:  Thank you! Lol That’s because that dress is BARELY around me… I mean 3 people had to hold it together for it to zip… but it did zip!!! lol I’m having the zipper ripped out and a corset put in just to be safe for the wedding day. A popped zipper would have me in tears.

I’ll play.  I’m a size 12 ish, 5’7″, 38DD chest and sort of hourglass-y.

Me “normal” and me in my dress.  You can tell I have some junk in the trunk and my big issue is around my hips/thighs.

@LRCWedding:  Dress twin! Just wondering what size that was? They made me go up like 3 sizes from my street size, and now I have to have it taken in and possibly swapped for a size smaller.

@candykiss:  it was 1 size bigger. I had that long line bra thing on under it too. Fit perfectly, I could have bought it right off the rack.
