Here’s a few that i got back right after our session.  I haven’t gotten the edited versions so these are just a few for fun.  I will say, I am normally very photogenic in the face but my body is ALWAYS awkward. I never know how to stand etc.  E-pics were especially difficult for me because I don’t feel I am a very good “candid” photo person, i always make the goofiest unnatural faces. SO, with that said they are cute- i can’t wait to see all of them.  We went to the fair…

Everyone’s pics are amazing and you’re all beautiful!! I’m actually having the SAME issue. I’ve contemplated skipping the e-photos all together just because of the weight I’ve put on since we started dating. THEN I decided I wanted to lose weight first before we took them. But after a few weeks of thinking it over, I decided to just cut it out. We’re marrying the man of our dreams- who CARES if we put on a few pounds in the last year or two? So just find an outfit that makes YOU feel comfortable- don’t worry about it being trendy..and like others suggested, focus on the body part you’re most confident with and feel good about your hair and makeup, and you’ll be great πŸ™‚

Here are some we had done 2 Christmases ago. I was uncomfortable and worrying about how I looked the WHOLE time- and it completely shows in these pictures. It even made my hair frizz to no end because I was so darn uptight and tense.

The poses themselves wouldve been fine if I wasnt so uptight :/ So don’t let that happen to you! And I def would’ve gone with a looser fitting sweater, as I carry most of my weight in my stomach and arms. So as others also mentioned- taking pictures in your outfits ahead of time would be a HUGE help- cause I def would’ve changed my outfit had I done so!

Hey There!

I too has concerend about my engagement pics.  I don’t have the greatest profile and was worried about my double chin.

SOOO….I mentioned it to my photographer….BIG mistake.  She kept having me try to stretch my neck….needless to say it looked funny and not natural.  BUT…..they turned out great!  Be prepared for the good the bad and the ugly…with a bunch of FANTASTIC!  We definitely look our best being ourselves.  Trust in your photographer..after all they are professionals.

Here are a bunch from our session.  We got over 200 images as we went to 3 locations…sorry there are so many…but we did alot.  Good luck on yours!

E

These are wonderful photos! Y’all are beautiful!!!

I am pls size myself and as a photographer I can say that putting your weight on your back foot slims you down in the camera.

You can also have shots that aren’t full body, some from a bird’s eye view and make sure you go back over your photos before you leave the session! Almost any photographer will make sure you are comfortable during the shoot but not all remember to show you after.  Some don’t like to show ‘raw shots’ but you are the one paying so if you ask, they will show!

A little tip I discovered is that if you rub a cucumber slice on cellutlite (if you know of any that will be showing) it will tighten up the skin a bit and while it won’t take away weight, having the cellulite NOT show will look much better in pictures. (I’m not trying to sound harsh or rude or demeaning – I myself am larger than most females, so I know all tips are helpful!) πŸ™‚

Also – congrats to all you lovely ladies!

I’m not having my professionally done, my cousin will be taking ours.  She recently starting doing photography and has talent, so I am allowing her to do my wedding.  I have a couple fears that they won’t be as awesome as everyone else, but at the same time, I don’t care because I just don’t have $1500 + lying in my budget to afford it.

I am plus size (18/20) so I know as well how insecure I feel in pictures, and I avoid body shots alot.  Glad you gals posted pictures (WHICH ARE FREAKING AMAZING!!!) I have some better pose ideas now that I can share with my cousin πŸ™‚

We have ours in two weeks and I’m still terrified. I love all of these pics and hope mine turn out just as well!  My fiance is as scared as I am about them, if not more. He’s a big guy, but I think he carries it well and of course I think he’s adorable all the time, so I told him he has to be in front and cover my bad spots — but he wants me to hide his bad spots too!!

We’ve discussed all of our issues with the photographer and our wedding coordinator is coming along and I’ve expressed my concerns with her too…so hopefully between the two of them we can get some awesome pictures that we both will love looking at.

I’m very self concious about my weight which is why I opted out of engagement pics. I’m actually pretty mad at myself for not doing it. We didn’t even get professional pictures from our wedding for the same reason. The few pictures we took were taken by our notary and I didn’t like how big they made me look. I’m a 14/16 as well but bc of my own issues I feel bigger.

Here’s a pic from my wedding.

We have a $150 gift card for a photographer friend of mine to take pics, I’m  just trying to get brave enough to do it.

I applaud all you ladies who did them! You look gorgeous!

I am a waiting bee now, but THANK YOU to all who gave tips and shared your SO beautiful e pics. Seeing so many of you lovely ladies (and VERY handsome SOs) gives me hope that I won’t look as bad as I am afraid I will. Between my body issues and his extreme nervousness, it will be a challenge, but I know we can get through it and if we get at least one great shot it will be worth it!

@Eulalia:  I’m not a picture person either, and a friend of mine did ours.  She ended up posting them on FB and got two other photo sessions out of our pictures.  I’m glad that I did it and it helped her out also.
