my advice is forget about what you look like and let the photographer do their thing…they know and they won’t show you the bad ones!

Try to put something in front of part of your body to break it up a bit, hide a bit behind your guy (or gal), take pictures that are interesting but don’t focus on the body.

Reconsider stripes ๐Ÿ™‚ I do love mine though and I’m happy with what we chose to wear

Getting ours taken in three days and just wanted to say thank you all for the wonderful ideas.  I am going to try to just enjoy myself and have fun with it like so many of you suggested.

Got ours done and all in all I am very please with the outcome.  Thought I would share a couple of ours.  Thanks again to everyone for the awesome ideas.  I was surprised to find that some of the pictures I thought were going to look horrible, turned out to be some of my favorites.

One thing I can not stress enough, if you are an apple shape and your stomach is one of your trouble spots, remind the photographer that you are not interested in a lot of shots from the side.

You ladies all look beautiful in your pictures!  My thought for the people who are considering not doing E-photos because they are self conscious, I would get them done!  How are you going to be comfortable getting pictures on your wedding day if you don’t get them done before hand.  I was hesitant to get engagement pics done (mostly because I thought it was a waste of money), but I’ve never had pictures taken of me (not even senior pictures!), and it will be good practice.  Have fun with it!

Hey, just want to tell all the Bees that shared their pics that they look great!

I am seriously huge (24/26), so I won’t be doing the engagement pics. Not that anyone else my size should skip them. I am just not feeling too confident at this weight. If I was still a size 22 I would go for it.

@susi_petunia:  Don’t let your size get in the way of your pictures. I am bigger than you are, at 32W and ours turned out great. A good photographer is going to show you off to your best advantage. There is no bridal mold that you have to fit into, you can be a beautiful bride at any size. Look through the plus sized bridal pic threads, and you will see for yourself.

I was worried about the same thing. Got a couple that were less than flattering. I tried to turn on my side towards my Fiance in the full length ones and I think that worked!

ughh definitely something that is on my mind… I am trying so hard to lose a few lbs but the harder I try the more I gain! I got a great outfit this weekend that I think looks amazing but I need to take a few test shots with it

I also want to try and find a jacket or blazer bc they always do that on tv to make people look thinner (bc my tummy is def my issue like most ladies)

My suggestion is to wear heels (they make you feel sexy and also cause you to stand taller,

straighter and make your bum look better), stand on an angle, weight on back foot, front

foot a bit more forward than the back foot and have fun!! The more relaxed you are the more it’ll show in the pictures.
