It hurts like HELL!!!!! (You wanted an honest answer, right?)

Waaaaaaay too expensive for the pain, too! Plus, I was so swollen!

I have been doing it for years!!!!!  I have been to lots of different waxers and its always a lil awkward exposing yourself at first but yes they have seen it all.  I Love it and a moment of pain for weeks of pleasure 🙂

I have sensitive skin and tend to break out when I wax. I got THE WORST ingrown hairs/rash after doing it the first time, so I will never do it again. Imagine having extreme carpet burn/pizza crotch that takes a month to heal. The pain of the wax was nothing compared to the aftermath. Good luck.

I am far too sensitive to pain to spend money to have someone rip hair off my nah-nah.

Given the fact that I can’t even see the end result without getting into weird positions and inventing some kind of hydraulics to hold my gut out of the way…lol – so, yeah, none for me, thanks!

I am so glad you wrote this post artsygirl1970!!  I am thinking of making an appointment to get a Brazilian but am embarrassed by size (220 lbs, size 18/20).

I am getting married 11/19 and was wondering if I should go in this weekend and again the week of the wedding or will the hair not go in enough?

@artsygirl1970:I’m not plus size but I tried it once but it hurt. I much rather have something ralaxing done at the spa. Having my hair ripped from my body is not fun for me. I would like a facial instead.

@artsygirl1970: yay!!!! I’m glad it was a good experience for you! I knew once you decided to do it you’d be hoooked! it’s fabulous! and once you get more comfortable with your lady it’ll just be like going to get a coffee lol.

There’s also a cream they came out with that numbs the area before you wax… I’ve never tried it but if it was more pain than you want in 4 weeks try it! but believe me the more you do it the less it hurts! 🙂 hope your FH loves it! 🙂

@artsygirl1970: Yeah you have joined the club. I will say that if your hair is curly the grow back can be itchy.

So glad you got a good girl to do it for you.  Good luck in the future.  I know I’ll never shave my legs or um hoo hoo again.  I love waxing!  Congrats on your wedding!  It’s almost  here!

I’m glad you tried it and plan on going back!  I used to get this done all the time before I moved cities to be with Mr. BC.  At my old job, my co-worker’s wife was an esthetician and I was able to go to her home for “services.”  It was a little weird at first since I knew her pretty well, but I loved the clean feeling and low maintenance of the look.  I haven’t had one since I moved but I plan on making a trip out to see her prior to the wedding to have it done.  The ibuprofen really does help but don’t attempt getting one for the first time anywhere close to your time of the month – you are so much more sensitive around that time.  I actually get the sugaring done and while it does hurt, it isn’t awful.  If you keep the waxing up, it does grown back much lighter and thinner.
