We’re two months out, and my mom still hasn’t been able to find a dress for the wedding. At this point, it will be less stress to get a dress off-the-rack or from an online store, rather than order something and pray that it comes in with enough time for alterations. We went to David’s but didn’t really find anything there. We also went to a few department stores without any luck. My mom has a hard time getting around and is stressing about this.
Can anyone recommend any physical or virtual stores? She’s pretty specific in that she wants an a-line, 3/4-to-full sleeve, short/tea length dress.
Thanks for your help!

Nordstrom.com may have something she likes.

Don’t rule out the full length dresses. They can always be shortened

@discokitty: What about something like these? They are from this website:
They are kinda pricey but they specialize in plus size. And you can see what the dresses look like in all shapes and sizes.

I’m kinda a thread killer BUT I love Igigi.com and have been very pleased with dresses both my mom (26/30) and myself have gotten (20/22/24). I felt like a million bucks and loved how well everything was made. Also in the view of how much MOB dresses are she’s prolly less (tho not cheap!!) than what you’ll find in a shop.
As a note – my mom and I thought we could only use Jade Bridal / Jasmine because shops where we are carried pretty much only that — but we found a Monet/Montage and she was warned it would take 3 months and it took a week. If you need more info let me know I’ll see if I can help you find a store. Another new to us brand was Allison I believe. My mom wanted lace and flowy and got exactly that!

I second the votes for Nordstrom – I recommend using their Wedding Suite or personal shopper services – as well as for the online sites Kiyonna and iGiGi.

Thank you all so much! I’ll share the links with my mom.
