I, personally, love warmer stones so I would be completely happy with that beauty! It really just comes down to whether or not itll bother you. If it will, get what will make you happy 🙂

I agree with pp. It’s a beautiful ring, and I personally love warm stones so I think it makes it look even more beautifu, but that’s my opinion. Get what you know you will be 110% happy with!

sylvieq:  I love it!! But my opinion is totally biased as I have an GIA L color oval set in a chunky halo of E-F color diamonds. I love the contrast 🙂

Seriously though, my diamond doesn’t always look yellow. So I imagine your I color won’t look different from the side stones in every lighting situation.

For example, here it looks fairly white

And here it looks pale yellow (which i love!)

I love the contrast in your ring. But I am biased because I love warmer diamonds & chose a GIA L-faint brown. For me color has nothing to do with perfection. its the sparkle that trumps all for me. if you love it keep it, if not change it. you can also ask the jeweler to match the pave with your center stone.

Can you ask the jeweler to remake it with a lower colored halo? I think if it bothers you now it probably will bother you as time goes on. Have you told the jeweler your budget to see what he can cook up thats identical to that but with more of an even tone? I would also head over to Pricescope. They can for sure help you find the perfect stone and a jeweler who can help make a custom ring for you probably cheaper than what this jeweler is selling this one for.

And btw I think the oval shape looks great on you! It doesn’t always look good on everyone. So I think you should at least stick with that shape.

I love it but I’m another in the camp for warm diamonds. I looked at whiter stones but I was immediately drawn to my K. It is in a halo of F-G diamonds.

sylvieq:  I love it!!! Don’t let that oval go!! It looks beautiful just the way it is. I’m sure it would not fit me but I will have it lol.

I love when others come over to “the dark side” AKA I-Z color diamonds! im sure you and that gem will bond just fine! Remember diamonds are of the earth and are unique just like we are! There is no good or bad right or wrong…only preferences!
