I agree, she does seem pushy! My favorite is the one where she says “Are you saying yes to MY dress?” Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but I’d be put off by that! Almost like she’s making sure everyone knows who she is, she designed that dress, and how expensive her dresses are. It’s about the bride at that point, not about her! Her pushiness alone would make me want to pick a dress by another designer.
Also, I think all of her dresses are ugly. That’s just my opinion! No offense at all to anyone who has one or loves them!

I especially hate the ones with the see through belly part. Like its a wedding dress, you are off the market. Put your belly button away

This one woman on Say Yes to the Dress yesterday basically had Pnina do a $30K “upgrade” to a gown she’d already bought. She took the tulle skirt and added pick-ups, and changed the bodice to one that was more “blingy”. Not only did the dress look ridiculous, but the woman in the dress looked AWFUL.

I HATE when the designers are in house.
I met James Clifford at a trunk show. He was seriously the MOST MEAN person I could have ever imagined. He pushed his dresses at me and refused to allow me to try on any other dresses. EVEN when I said I DID NOT want to try on his dress- he made me go to the fitting room to try it on.
Worse service ever. Even the consultant at the salon I was at felt terribly for me and said I didn’t have to try the dress on if I didn’t want to. I DID end up trying the dress on, it fit ZERO of my specifications and I did NOT go out to show James Clifford as I know I would have been pressured into buying it.
I hated hated HATED this.

Does anyone have know what season these episodes aired? I’d love to watch but I really don’t want to go through every single season on netflix just to catch them lol

Eww lol I can’t imagine paying 10k+ for something like this!

I hate all her dresses and never understood the hype with her designs.

I watch Yes To The Dress and I have never liked a Pnina dress I saw on the show,I never bothered to look for others online because I found all the Pnina’s on the show so tacky,I hate the see through corsets, that’s my biggest issue,it seems so trashy and cheap. To be honest I rarely like the dresses on the show,it seems like there’s no variety of dresses in that store,it all looks the same.As Swizzle said,I prefer Pronovias, they have such beautiful dresses.I’m only starting to look for my wedding dress and Pronovias is definitely an option.

I know a lot of the episodes that aired yesterday, including one for sure with Pnina, were from 2013, so I’m not sure if they’d be on Netflix yet. I watched a couple while folding laundry, so I wasn’t paying full attention, but I think one with Pnina was called “I’ll know it when I see it.” But the one where she thinks a . Red dress is a copy of hers is pretty old…
I tried on a dress with a see-through lace bodice, and it wasn’t so bad, but I definitely would have added lining, lol. I don’t need to be THAT sexy in front of Grandma!
ETA: Also, when you customize a dress so much you practically designed it yourself, what the hell are you paying Pnina 30 grand for???

Blech. I know exactly what bride you’re talking about. I feel like she is exactly the type of bride pnina dresses are made for – flashy, in your face, ‘I buy expensive things to show off how rich I am’ girls who completely abuse and misuse the word “classy” (I maaayyyy watch too many wedding shows). End rant.

that girl had an episode of SYTTC: The Big Day. It was beyond awful!
I’m also not a fan of Pnina dresses and think they are tacky as hell! But (and I might get banned/flamed for saying this), I find that the majority of brides who like her designs are also tacky as hell.

Hahaha good description. Lots them them are SO gaudy. I’ve seen some really pretty ones on her site, but still not worth it to me.

Honestly trunk shows are billeted as great ways for brides to find their dresses AND meet the designers, but honestly while I think its nice to see so many of one designers dresses at once, I haven’t found the designers or their representatives (CEO, company presidents, etc) to be all that nice. I asked the Watters top lady if if the dress I ordered would have the same boning issue as the sample I was in (because it clearly wasn’t done properly) and she was so dismissive and was like “no they all come that way, nothing we can do”.
I really feel like some of these bridal designers and dress companies have gotten so big-headed about their line of work and are completely off-putting to their potetential customers!

That second one is vomit-worthy. Its looks like a honeymoon nightgown! But with elvira-esque sleeves!!
Sheer dresses with cut-outs do not wedding gowns make.

AGREEEE SO HARD!!!!!!!!!
I wish things were better because I can be SO swayed by good service!!!
