There are a million requests for opinions all over this site.  It’s a great place for support, but it would be useless if people couldn’t also say what they don’t like w/o being dismissed as mean or flagged and in need of censorship.

This thread is just unnecessary. Thats MY opinion. If the OP takes a moment to really find out about Pnina she would know that Pnina has many gorgeous gowns and only a few of them have a sheer bodice

@bells:  I agree that Pnina has many gowns.  Not many of them are my taste, and as alleged in the OP, they are pricey.  Maybe it’s unnecessary.  But so is “OMG, I love this!”  Unnecessary opinion sharing if fine by me.

@Melini: I guess I mean unnecessary in the sense that the thread is a bit mean to the bees that have bought pnina gowns to say that her gowns are tacky and look cheap. ofcourse everyone can state their opinion but its just not necessary to start an entire thread just to tell people that their dress choice is tacky.

I actually LOVE some of her dresses! Not all of them are as flashy as what is shown on TV. And I agree with others…. it was a bit unecessary to start a thread just to put down a designer. Everyone has different tastes, thats why there are so many different styles out there. Name any designer and I am positive I can show you at least one of their dresses I think is hideous and one that I like.

I also flagged this post – whether or not you like the dress, it is hurtful to the brides who do and are wearing it on their day. There is no need for such mean posts.

Oh please…yet another Prina bashing thread, how unique.#yawn. Just like Jim Helm, Vera, Sophia, Maggie, Davids Bridal, every single line has something that turns somoene on or off. No need to bash an entire line. Simple, if you don’t like it, don’t buy it.  I think some of her styles some are ehh while others kinda hot, so to each their own. Lord knows I’d take a see thru bodice over a pickup/ball style gown anyday, but thats my personal preferance.

Damn, harsh much? Did you not see consultant Sarahs wedding dress? It was a pnina Tornei and GORGEOUS! Satin, lace applique, crystal beading, bodice pleating! Sexy yet not over the top. My jaw dropped on awe! I’m actually getting my wedding dress custom made and that bodice is the inspiration for my bodice with a little extra embellishment. I LOVE Pnina Tornei. So hmmm way to trash my dress! By The Way I think the see through bodice gowns are hot!

Yep- completely unnecessary. I agree people giving compliments and saying “I love X” is unnecessary as well, but at least that’s all in good nature. This post serves no other purpose than to be rude and mean spirited.

And I wish people would stop using the word “tacky” on this site to describe other people’s choices, dress decor flowers etc. Just. Stop. it.

Are you people serious?  You’re going to flag a post where someone just states that they dislike a certain designer?  How is this not ok but the 800 other posts that girls make specifically to say how much they LOVE a designer is perfectly fine?  Not everything wedding related can be gum drops and lollipops and if she doesn’t like this designer then thats fine, its her opinion.  Not once did I see anything that says “omg all these bee’s with pnina dresses are so trashy”, she doesn’t like the dresses BIG DEAL!  There are so many posts on here where people ask “Trashy or classy?” but those that say trashy don’t get shit on.  Everyone has their own taste but don’t bash this poster for stating she doesn’t like something.  I’d bet everyone would be much happier here if everyone just blew smoke up their asses constantly.

^ Maybe flagging is extreme, but the rules do say to avoid snarkiness, and the OP was nothing but snarky.

@techie:Have you seen this post?

http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/pnina-tornai-trashy-or-classy

I didn’t seen one person threaten to flag the posting and it says the same, if not worse than this one.  But who knows maybe it’s because that poster has a few hundred posts and this poster is clearly new.  It seems anyone new lately is labeled as a troll or is ridiculed for anything they say.
