None of them are my style any many that I have seen (have clearly not researched them, but I’ve seen them on SYTTD) are downright trashy. The see-through corset, super plunging neckline, covered in sparkles and skirt looks so heavy that you won’t be able to move look is so NOT my style. It also bothers me that because of the show, for some reason her name is now associated with “luxury” bridal gowns. There are so many more beautiful, timeless, and memorable dress designers out there!

They aren’t all trashy, no. But any WEDDING dress you have to SHAVE YOUR PUBES to wear … is trashy. I’m not sure how there could be any arguing with that.

Bahaha! I agree, nether-region shaving should be an option
, not a necessity, when appearing in front of your friends/family. Lol.

I think her dresses are very over the top and I don’t really “get” them. But, I guess fashion is a “to each her own” kind of thing so I wouldn’t judge a bride for wearing one (although I may turn 5 shades of red if they walk down the aisle in one of the see-through numbers). I am always shocked when the show the price of her dresses on SYTTD…

That’s exactly what I was thinking! I was remembering that episode where that was an issue. I mean seriously!
I don’t think every dress is completely horrific, but some of them are. They’re all overpriced and her whole attitude on the show is really offputting.

Pnina gowns are a LOT of dress.
You have to be a super confident, supremely powerful, and extraverted woman to pull it off. On most brides, a Pnini gown is wearing them and not the other way around.
If I was forced to pick one for myself, I’d choose this elegant dress.

Pnina is definitely NOT my style. My dress is very simple and sleek.
While some of her dresses do air on the trashy side in my opinion, especially the ones that are partially sheer and TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT in the chest and bodice, there are actually some I’ve seen on “Say Yes to the Dress” that were pretty.
There was a hideous Pnina they took out of some secret vault on SYTTD, and I laughed out loud when they brought it out. It was like $20,000 and was so, so awful. LOL
To each her own! 😉

yea those look more like something you put on after the wedding to get your guy excited or something…

I’ve seen a handful of her gowns that I absolute LOVE….but I’ll say 90% of those I’ve seen aren’t to my taste. I HAVE seen some that I thought just looked way too Vegas Tramp and thats my opinion; doesn’t make it true across the board, but we’re just giving opinions here so what does it hurt? lol
Some of ’em are just plain gaudy and those are the ones I really don’t get. Under the right lighting a lot of crystals can look magical, but some of those gowns…((shudder)).

I just can’t comprehend spending that MUCH on a dress. ONE dress. My entire wardrobe isn’t worth that much! And it isn’t like you can wear them again. And I’ll agree, wedding dresses shouldn’t be sheer from the neckline to the hip. Just….no.

I’ve never seen one I like. They are generally overdone with WAY too many embellishments and flounces~almost like she didn’t know when to stop. I almost want to tell her to step back and start pulling things OFF.
The worst one was a woman who was much too old to be wearing one of her dresses, especially since it was in pink. She looked pretty idiotic, trying too hard to look like a Barbie doll.
Sometimes there’s no accounting for someone’s taste.

Yikes! I’m really glad I don’t have a pnina dress because there’s a lot of snark here. I actually think the second one Kitzy posted would be pretty if you had a panel added underneath in alterations so it wasn’t see through. If I’m not mistaken, I did see someone do that on SYTTD.
They are really FLASHY…whether or not you think flashy is a good thing is up to you to decide, however even though this thread is a “fluff” thread, I think it is kind of mean spirited to call them “trashy” or “slutty”. jmo

Some of her dresses are over the top but even the lingerie dresses can be altered so that they add a layer of fabric inside so that it isn’t see-through any longer. You have to keep in mind that she is a middle eastern woman where the term “over-the-top” is actually a good thing. Her dresses are for people with opulent over the top tastes. Most of my middle-eastern friends love the gowns and love all the drama they come with. They think most regular wedding gowns are too plain and boring and dont make enough of a statement
I also agree that it is really mean spirited and unnecessary to say her dresses are trashy
