Yay, on to May!

Your age/partner’s age: 33 / 35

Baby #: 1

Current Cycle Day/DPO: CD33.  Still waiting for O.

Ovulation Date: No idea.  Usually, my cycle is 28-29 days with O on CD 13-15.  I’m on CD33 so far with no sign of O, AF, or pregnancy.  So, yeah.  This is weird. πŸ™‚

POAS Date/Usual Cycle Length: No idea when to POAS, since this cycle is so wacky.

Cycles Trying: 3rd cycle

BFP Plan (BD timing, charting, prenatals, supplements, etc.): Charting, OPKs if I feel like it, Prenatal Vitamins, Preseed as needed.  We were going to to SMEP this cycle, but without O, it’s been challenging.  So we just BD when we feel like it – lets up on some of the stress that way and keeps it fun.

Just for fun — What’s your favorite thing about Spring? Flowers, sunshine, longer days, and the smell of freshly cut grass!

Just for fun — What’s your favorite thing about Spring? Watching everything bloom, it seems like everything turns green almost overnight! And spending more time outdoors. Darling Husband and I love to grill and just sit out on our patio.

knpswp:  What are your thoughts on Vitex?  How long have you been using it?  I’ve been thinking about it, but just not sure.  I’ve heard mixed reviews.

knpswp:  It is, isn’t it?  I have no idea what’s different.  I’ve been racking my brain trying to figure out what’s wrong with my body, but can’t figure it out.  I did start taking prenatals, as opposed to a regular multivitamin, but I can’t imagine that makes the difference.  I have a doc appt next Thursday because I promised Darling Husband that if AF didn’t come by the end of the month, I’d go.  It’s a physical, so I’m hoping they will pull some bloodwork and I can convince them to check thyroid as part of preventative care. πŸ™‚

AgileK9s:  ive been taking it since i had mirena removed in november and up until last cycle (traveled to india so everything went haywire) my cycles were like clockwork. i had a few days of bloating when i first started it but no symptoms since then. they say not to use it if you don’t have any known issues but i used it anyway without any ill effect.

AgileK9s:  it may just be a fluke cycle for whatever reason. you could still O anyday now so keep BD if you can! some women just have annovulatory cycles every once in a while. i wouldn’t be too concerned as  your cycles prior to that look pretty darn good. πŸ™‚

knpswp:  Were your cycles regular before BC?

Before BC for me, everything was irregular – 40-50 day cycles were kind of the norm, and once I even skipped AF for about 3 months.  Last time I was off BC for any length of time, I’d have 6 normal cycles, then one freakishly long.  Wash, rinse, repeat.  I had no need to worry about pregnancy though, so it didn’t bother me.  Now I feel like this long cycle is just… doing it to screw with my head!  Of course, I keep telling myself that this really is still fitting the pattern of “normal” for me, assuming the 6 cycle + 1 cycle pattern is my norm.
