For the iodine discussion…. I was looking into it a little and found this info. It sounds like it’s reasonable for most women to get enough iodine from food, since pregnant women only need 220mcg/day.
Current Cycle Day/DPO: CD11
Your age/partner’s age: 32 / 34
Ovulation Date: 12th or 13th Nov.
POAS Date/Usual Cycle Length: 28th Nov, cycle varies from 26-29 days.
Cycles Trying: 10
BFP Plan (BD timing, charting, prenatals, supplements, etc.): BD EOD from days 12-18. I had an HGC this month as recommended by my GYN. It was totally painless and I got to see that my tubes are open for business – quite the relief! next step is getting DH’s sperm tested, but he is dragging his feet.

Just for fun, What would be a perfect day for you? A day that starts with a good night’s sleep! A great yoga class, a yummy lunch with friends, and then a date night with the old hubster!
Haven’t O’d yet :/ and I may receive AF.. I was having a great feeling of this cycle.. Now I just don’t know…
AF showed up a day late today. Please roll me over. Thanks.
Catching up….here come a bunch of posts in a row!
journeyintime: Yay Congrats!!!!!
hellosunshine: Congrats!!! So exciting!
bubbycakes: Wow Thanksgiving week sure is filling up! FX you’ll have something extra to be thankful for this year!
Tmpalm: well that would sure make for a VERY exciting Thanksgiving! I’m POAS just a couple days prior (and if my cycles stay regular and we’re still TTC in Dec my POAS date would be Christmas Day!)
soontobemrs1011: Hope Dec is lucky for you! : )
Daisylovex3: Hope O comes soon for you!
LittleRiver: The Walgreens vitamin looks good! Safe Vitamin A, it does have iodine, plenty of folic acid, the recommended 200mg DH….and a decent price! Good for you! This is one I would recommend to friends for sure! (caution to other ladies reading this…the other walgreens prenatal vitamins are completely different formulations, including the all in one prenatal/DHA pill they have ,which I would not recommend because it’s missing a lot!)
Here’s some more DHA info for anyone who’s interested. http://www.babycenter.com/404_is-it-safe-to-take-fish-oil-or-other-omega-3-supplements-dur_10336998.bc
<br />Sorry I can’t tag everyone…but I did find the name of the other OTC that hits all my criteria. Bought a box on vacation a couple weeks ago (DH and I were buzzed and in a random walmart so that was fun looking at all the boxes with the tiny print to pick one!) when I realized I hadn’t packed enough of my regular prescription kind!
Centrum Specialist Prenatals. Around $13/month.
Low Vitamin A levels overall…with 60% as the safest kind. Which means less than 1000mg of the riskier kind. Not bad in my opinion. The only other thing is that it’s 200mg DHA vs the recommended 300mg DHA, but I’m keeping my leftovers from vacay in case I have a month where I run out of my script before I have time to pick up my refill.
krystalite: Regarding coffee/alcohol in the TWW. I do what I want ; ) I drink when I feel like it, (2-3 drinks is a heavy night for me..lol), I drink coffee, eat sushi, blue cheese…all of it! My SIL tried for 3 years and is now the momma of a happy healthy 6 month old…said she most regrets giving things up bc she thought she “might” be pregnant” Her advice to me, eat everything, drink everything, and do everything! She and I were at my sister’s bachelorette party just three days before her surprise BFP, and boy did she indulge ; ) I am firmly in the drink til it’s pink camp, too!
AFM….this FW didn’t go so smoothly…DH was sick and we were both rocking work pagers (yes, they look like the 1990’s old school ones….belt clip and all) on call all weekend…so between all of that, we managed one BD on a day that may or may not count depending on my O day (either yesterday or today I’m thinking…so it would be either O-2 or O-3). Still waiting on my temp shift…but should be tomorrow!
We were both a little frustrated/disappointed because that really decreases our chances this month by a lot…but we talked it out and it is what it is…and as DH said, “We get a fresh set of chances next month!” Which is exactly right! As much as we’d like to get that BFP this month…it’s so much more important to stay a team and stick together, no matter what!
PS. Based on your advice I bought the One A Day Women’s Prenatal. http://www.amazon.com/One-Womens-Prenatal-Vitamins-Count/dp/B00CDKT3H6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1415391778&sr=8-1&keywords=one+womens+prenatal+vitamin
It’s not perfect, but I think it’s a pretty good compromise (especially considering what I had been taking!). Thank you so much for your advice. Everyone just kept saying “take a prenatal” and I kind of thought they were *mostly* the same. I am glad there are people like you out there doing this kind of research — I truly had no idea!!
You can roll me on over, AF came yesterday afternoon.
Congrats to all of the BFPs for November so far! I’d like to roll call if it isn’t too late…
